Why we love micellar water
We talk about dual-purpose beauty products all the time (get a load of these incredible multi-tasking goodies), but micellar water’s on another level. Good for your skin and great at removing make-up, it’s a total beauty game-changer and, in my opinion, one of the best skincare inventions yet. Need more convincing? Here’s a handy video explaining what it is, why I love it so much and how to use it.

What is micellar water?
Micellar water looks and feels a lot like a toner, except that it contains oil molecules to work as a cleanser.
Who is it suitable for?
It’s suitable for all skin types (sensitive, normal and oily).
How much does it cost?
It’s also great value, costing roughly $15 for 200mL. Hot tip: The Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Water is a steal at $12.99 for 400mL.
How do I use micellar water?
Squeeze a little bit of micellar water onto a cotton pad, and then wipe it gently across your face to remove make-up and impurities. Your skin should feel super-soft and clean afterwards.
Any tips?
Always! Make sure you use a cotton pad for the best result (a tissue won’t work as well).

Only recently "discovered" this and I'm loving it - pleased to see you suggesting the pads rather than tissue or cotton balls. I found this effective too.

I bought the Garnier one half price ages ago, but then I went to France and stocked up on the Bioderma! I currently have like 4 of them at home so I'm pretty sure I won't be buying any in the near future!

I used to use wipes for "lazy" days but now use Micellar Water instead. Garnier is a good price and does the job.

I have tried it and it is great to use as no water required. I love how convenient the product is.

I have a few sample sized bottles of Bioderma micellar water that I've had for months but never used. I'll have to get on it.

I love my micellar water. It's helped to balance out my skin. I had better luck with the Bioderma micellar water than the Garnier water, but they've both definitely helped me out!

I use the Simple Micellar cleanser and while I like it, its not a HG for me. I actually use it after cleansing with my other makeup remover to pick up any makeup left behind (like a toner). I think I prefer a good cleansing balm over micellar water honestly.

Yes, this is how I use it too. I tried using it for a full face of makeup and it's just a bit messier than a wipe so I use it afterwards to pick up anything that's left (and there's always something left - amazing!)

What's not to love! I bought one for my wedding to remove the makeup and have not looked back!

I'm not a fan. I find it takes a lot of rubbing (& therefore dragging) to get all my waterproof mascara & NYX eye primer off. I got better results with plain baby oil on a cotton ball.

I really thought this water was gimmicky, but then I actually wiped my face with some and saw how much make up was still left. Oh my god.

There are so many brands coming out with Micellar Water these days. I've had my eye on the ones from Garnier, Sukin, Simple, and I think Natio or Innoxa have one out now too. I better get a move on and buy one!

I have wanted to try Micellar water for over a year now, should probably just bite the bullet and buy some! The Garnier one sounds like a great starter

I still remove my makeup by washing my face. All micellar water has done for me is providing a 'good value for money' eye makeup remover that doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes but that's a good enough reason for it to exist :)

Sounds like a great product but do you think Garnier Skin Natural Miceller Water is just as good as it is better value for size and price...thanks.

I have to try it...sounds awesome! And it sounds like it's a lot more affordable than the Natio Cleansing Wipes I'm using now...
