Why we love micellar water
We talk about dual-purpose beauty products all the time (get a load of these incredible multi-tasking goodies), but micellar water’s on another level. Good for your skin and great at removing make-up, it’s a total beauty game-changer and, in my opinion, one of the best skincare inventions yet. Need more convincing? Here’s a handy video explaining what it is, why I love it so much and how to use it.

What is micellar water?
Micellar water looks and feels a lot like a toner, except that it contains oil molecules to work as a cleanser.
Who is it suitable for?
It’s suitable for all skin types (sensitive, normal and oily).
How much does it cost?
It’s also great value, costing roughly $15 for 200mL. Hot tip: The Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Water is a steal at $12.99 for 400mL.
How do I use micellar water?
Squeeze a little bit of micellar water onto a cotton pad, and then wipe it gently across your face to remove make-up and impurities. Your skin should feel super-soft and clean afterwards.
Any tips?
Always! Make sure you use a cotton pad for the best result (a tissue won’t work as well).

I'm a convert. I have the Simple branded Micellar water in my night stand with "Johnson's Pure Cotton, 50 large All-Purpose Pads' The pads are big enough to wipe your makeup up better. Makes it easier when crashing in bed and realising you haven't removed the days face.

I like using micellar water to wipe the foundation off my fingertips and face and also removing lip products that don't stain. So convenient! The Garnier one is an absolute bargain.

I have the Garnier one and love it. I love how is takes off my mascara and foundation with ease. I love how it removes all my makeup off and it doesn't dry out my skin

I have not tried this product. After reading such positive reviews I will buy some tomorrow and see if it really is as good as everyone says.

I love this stuff. So easy to use and great on your skin. I find it a lot more refreshing. And the simple brand is cost effective.

The Garnier one works really well and I often see it half price at Coles or Woolie's.....score!

Yes, micellar water is my beauty cupboard staple! With some brands I find that it leaves a sticky residue on my face, but I quickly rinse it with water and my skin feels really clean!

Micellar water is pretty good with removing makeup however, I do need to wash my face afterwards with a cleanser to completely remove everything. It helps a lot prior to cleansing my skin at the end of the day.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Micellar water and the video was really helpful (thanks Beth!). I didn’t realise it contained oil molecules. I ‘ll have to try the Garner one.

I do really like the Bioderma, it's effective and refreshing but it doesn't remove eye makeup very well so I prefer cleansing oils

I've been wondering what Micellar water is. Thanks for the video.
I shower in the morning and use a cream cleanser then. I cleanse in the evening to remove a face of make up. I've found that even after using a cleansing wipe (that allegedly removes make up) and toning I'm still seeing traces of foundation on the cotton pad when using a BHA cleanser. I'll have to give this a try!

I love my Garnier Micellar water. I'm especially grateful that they were the first (I think?) to bring out a more affordable version of Bioderma. I've noticed the explosion of other brands out on the market lately. I think there's also one by Swisse? I've only tried Garnier and Bioderma though.
