Why we love micellar water
We talk about dual-purpose beauty products all the time (get a load of these incredible multi-tasking goodies), but micellar water’s on another level. Good for your skin and great at removing make-up, it’s a total beauty game-changer and, in my opinion, one of the best skincare inventions yet. Need more convincing? Here’s a handy video explaining what it is, why I love it so much and how to use it.

What is micellar water?
Micellar water looks and feels a lot like a toner, except that it contains oil molecules to work as a cleanser.
Who is it suitable for?
It’s suitable for all skin types (sensitive, normal and oily).
How much does it cost?
It’s also great value, costing roughly $15 for 200mL. Hot tip: The Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Water is a steal at $12.99 for 400mL.
How do I use micellar water?
Squeeze a little bit of micellar water onto a cotton pad, and then wipe it gently across your face to remove make-up and impurities. Your skin should feel super-soft and clean afterwards.
Any tips?
Always! Make sure you use a cotton pad for the best result (a tissue won’t work as well).

I have the Garnier micellar water. I bought it for my wedding (or should I say post-wedding) and it was brilliant at helping me remove my lashes and heavy makeup. I don't use it as an all-in-one, but as an alternative to eye makeup remover or makeup wipes for when travelling. That's why a year later I still have the same bottle.

I feel like the Garnier micellar water gets way too much hype. For me I found it leaves a super oily residue on my face (and considering that i have really oily skin) i was super disappointed. The simple micellar water is AMAZING, no oily residue & perfect for oily, dry, sensitive, combination & normal skin types. It is also cheaper than the Garnier one, especially when it is on sale (more for less, who doesn't love that?? ) :)

They remove makeup so quickly don't they?

well they kinda do everything in one step so in the time it takes to remove your makeup with makeup remover, using micellar water also cleanses in that same amount of time.

I have used the swisse one. While it is convenient I don't feel completely clean even tho I've thoroughly done it. I was hoping in the video it would show how long it took to completely remove all the makeup and how many pads you used. I'm not sure if it's just the brand I have but i go thru quite a few of the pads and quite a lot of time and product and it's kind of put me off of trying a diff one. It is still easier for those times you just don't want to stand in the bathroom.

I have been using the Garnier Skin Natural Micellar water for a while now, and absolutely love it. Have tried another brand and wasn't happy with it. I'm so happy with it, I just stocked up on the Garnier one, as I was able to purchase it on special! :)

A product removes make up, cleansers, tones and leaves you skin feeling soft and clean all in one is a must. I love multi tasking products. It is so easy to use. Micellar Water is great for dry sensitive skin. I wish this had been around earlier. I have used a few of the cheaper brands and have found them all to be good. The expensive brands l cannot buy them where l live - out in the sticks.

I have been using Garnier Refreshing Make-up Remover wipes for a while now and love them. Maybe it is time for me to try the Micellar water. I like the way it appears to just melt the make-up.

That was a great, helpful video. I’ve just got the Sukin brand to trial and am very surprised at just how much it removes and how easy it is to use. I’d say it’s the perfect cleanser.

I love micellar water, it is the best makeup remover i have used, and usually you need to have something different for removing eye makeup but no this does it better than any eye makeup remover i have tried and without the stinging or oily feel afterwards.

I've tried the Bioderma micellar water and it didn't always remove eye makeup well. I haven't tried any other brands.

I absolutely love micellar water - so glad my friend introduced me to it! I have sensitive skin, and this works really well. I have tried the Bioderma and Garnier ones. I prefer the Bioderma, but the Garnier one is really cheap and very effective. Luckily my mum just went to Paris and brought back a few bottles of the Bioderma!
My tip for removing eye makeup is holding the cotton pad over the eye for at least 10 seconds, to allow the micellar water to "dissolve" the makeup - I find if I just swipe it can take a few goes!

I have an oil dispersing agent (for cosmetic or health use) so I will make up a batch to try at home

I love micellar water. I'm a huge bioderma lover, and I've tried the garnier one and compared to bioderma - frankly it sucks. Keen to try some other cheaper variations than the bioderma.

I use the Garnier Micellar water to remove light makeup and it feels refreshing. It doesn't really work on waterproof or heavy makeup so for those I use an eye makeup remover.
