I love this zinc - it's like being a surfer in the surf coated in white zinc but this zinc is hidden.
I love to use zinc as I know I will not get a red nose and I know my face is protected. This invisible zinc has been in my beach bag kit for 8 years!
I wouldn't recommend wearing it everyday only when you are going to be exposed to those sunny rays.
It is very thick like all zinc's but I love the colour and it lasts.

I don't know what it is about this sunscreen but it gave me a rash and I only used it once. I have been eyeing this sunscreen for a long time. I have dry/dehydrated sensitive skin that is very pale. So one day, I go to priceline and I take a little and dab it on my neck. Not even seconds later, I was scratching like mad and my neck turned really red. It was almost like I got a mosquito bite or something. It also felt a little on the heavy side and, for me personally, it did feel greasy. I'm glad I decided to try it before I buy it because I definitely would have regretted buying this.

The Invisible Zinc Sheer Defence Tinted moisturiser comes in a black and yellow box with a 50g white plastic tube with a flip top lid.
The consistency of the sunscreen is quite creamy and has a dry, powdery feel to it.
The shade light is actually quite a good match for pale skin, it is very sheer and performs like a very light bb cream, it has a very natural look.
About the size of 2x 20c coins will be plenty for a full face application, it is easy to apply and can be used over the top of skincare products with no issues of pilling.

My thoughts on the product:

I purchased this after hearing the Trial Team's thoughts on it, thanks ladies you definitely know your stuff!
This is now one of my favourite sunscreens, I love the light, sheer tint and very high spf content, it ticks all of my boxes.
The shade light matched my pale skin perfectly, it did not feel like it was masking my skin or oxidised orange at all. The end result is a very sheer, light pop of colour that looks natural and evens out the skintone.
I loved the feel of the sunscreen, initially when applying on the skin it does feel like it is coating the skin in a matte, powdery film but after 10 minutes or so it has absorbed completely and it is like there is nothing at all on the skin, it is so lightweight it is hardly detectable.
I loved that it is fragrance free; none of that dreaded zinc/chemical smell that sunscreens tend to have.
I used this over the top of my normal skincare routine (serum, oil, moisturiser etc) and had no issues with it pilling or feeling drying on my skin at all. It went on smoothly and seamlessly.
I loved the very high spf50+ protection and the fact that it performed like a very lightweight bb cream.

The final verdict:

Apart from the inital feel after applying to the skin there is no negatives I have to say about this product.
It is a little expensive but the price is definitely justified by the high quality; it is absaloutely worth every cent.
A new favourite, one that will be on rotation amongst my other faves.
I loved the extra confidence this gave me, very high spf protection and a pop of very natural looking colour to bring some life into the skin, bonus!

I purchased a tube of Invisible Zinc Sheer Defence Tinted Moisturiser SPF50 through the Rewards Room after reading so many positive reviews on beautyheaven and because I wanted a high SPF product.

I chose the light shade because I am quite fair but I was expecting a little more colour than what this product provides. This is more like a hint of colour and almost invisible but at the same time I can see a film across my skin. Obviously this is why the word ‘sheer’ is included in the name of the product.

The moisturiser isn’t as thick as I thought it would be, more like a medium consistency, and it spreads evenly over my skin leaving a real glow. The glow then settles down leaving more of a satin look.

On the days I want a better coverage I apply my BB cream over the top and I am surprised at how well this works. I thought the Invisible Zinc Sheer Defence Tinted Moisturiser SPF50 might be disturbed and make my makeup look patchy but this hasn’t happened.

I am really amazed at how comfortable the Invisible Zinc Sheer Defence Tinted Moisturiser SPF50 is to wear. I hate the feeling of sunscreens because they are so clogging on my skin but this product lets my skin breathe. In fact it feels so light I forget I’m wearing a sunscreen.

I always double cleanse starting with an oil or gel cleanser and I have had no problem with removing this moisturiser at the end of a day.

The Invisible Zinc Sheer Defence Tinted Moisturiser SPF50 definitely lives up to its name as a high protection sunscreen so I will be able to wear this during summer with confidence.

I must admit I can be a bit naughty when it comes to sun protection (although I do usually try and cover up) I have sensitive skin and normal suncreens can be quite irritating, especially if I sweat or go swimming. And as I run a lot, I find face sun screens especially irritating so I usually just rely on my hat and sunglasses.
I have used Invisible Zinc in the past but I belive the Sheer Defence is definitely an improvement.
The consistency isn’t too thick and works in nicely. It has a very subtle scent that isn’t unpleasant. I trialed the medium shade and it was perfect for my skin tone. Whilst being very sheer and only providing a very light coverage I felt it was enough for ‘no makeup’ makeup days and gave my skin a nice glow. Personally, I quite like products to be emollient, which I found the Invisible Zinc to be.
The first day I tried Sheer Defence I was moving house in full sun, didn’t burn at all, nor did I feel that usual sunscreen sting. The next day I didn’t used is and was feeling sorry for myself that night!
I will definitely be using this over summer as it feels great on my dry skin and is awesome protection from the sun.

I was chosen to trial this product, i found it to be great protection from the sun being spf 50.

It was a very moisturising product that wasn't too heavy on my skin and just gave my face that lovely sun kissed glow.

I chose the medium tinted one which i found was a perfect choice for my skin and gave me the coverage i liked on those days i didn't want to wear full makeup.

It came in a easy squeezable tube like you would excpect from moisturiser, the packaging was nice and everything was labled very clear, so you knew what was in the product

The invisible zinc was fragrance free which i prefer from my face products, i found it didn't clog my pores or give me acne.
Another thing i like it cruelty free and Australian made.

The updated formula is fantastic! I used this product a few years ago and it was gross, heavy, sticky and hard to get the tint to work for my skin. Now it's light on, the colour is pretty close to my pasty pale skin, and it offers great sun protection.

It applies easily, despite being a thick gluggy cream when squeezed out. I was able to smooth it out and not end up with a distinct tint line with a small amount of rubbing - although I was concerned I may not have applied enough product to give the correct sun protection. I didn't get burnt, but didn't have the opportunity to trial the product outdoors in full sun. There is a warning on the tube about the potential for the formula to stain clothing- I was very wary of this and avoided putting the product near my clothing.

Wearing the product for a full hot day, I forgot I was wearing it. It didn't end up with the gross feeling on top of my skin I was so accustomed to from my previous experience with zinc based facial sunscreen products. This was a very pleasant surprise!

Due to the trial period - I don't yet know if my skin has reacted negatively with a breakout - but so far so good.

As a whole, this is a huge improvement on the zinc facial sunscreen products I've tried previously. It doesn't feel like it is just sitting on the skin surface, and stays that way for the whole day.

I will continue to use this product, and am likely to repurchase. I would recommend giving this a try if you are looking for a one-step tinted sunscreen.

Where do I start? coming to Australia from a country that sun never burns your skin I started my sunscreen testing journey 6 years ago. I cant' tell how many $$ I wasted buying different creams, sprays blah blah and I always had one issue with all of them - I have dark skin and they made me look like a ghost in face with a tanned body. I Love this product. the tint looks really nice on my skin and it is very light weighted and it doesn't break me out. It evens my skin tone without making it look like I am wearing a heavy coat of foundation.

I had never tried Invisible Zinc products before so I was really excited to receive this product as part of the Trial Team. It comes in a sleek cosmetic tube with a flip top cap and is the perfect size to keep in your purse or handbag.

I chose the colour ‘light’ which was a good match for my light to medium skin tone. After cleansing and moisturising I applied a small amount to my face, focusing on the bridge of my nose and cheeks then making outward strokes to smooth the product over my face and neck.

The product was quick drying and had a slight mattifying effect that I loved as my skin is sensitive but can be oily in the t-zone. I noticed a hint of colour but I wouldn’t say that it was a light foundation-like or BB cream effect.

My skin felt comfortable and protected all day when outside, however, I personally prefer my moisturiser to have a high SPF as an all in one product rather than having to layer it with this one as well. On its own, Invisible Zinc wasn’t moisturising at all so I have rated it accordingly.

I would try this again if going to the beach or outdoors for extended periods - it is water/sweat resistant for 2 hours which is a big plus.
