A 62-year-old model is starring in Biologi’s latest campaign

Biologi, AKA one of our favourite skin care brands, has just released a new campaign deserving of a round of applause.
Unveiling its latest anti-ageing serum, Biologi’s Bm Regenerate Anti-Ageing Serum (which by the way is already receiving rave reviews), the brand chose 62-year-old model, Rachel Waller, to be the face of the new product.
Ageism in the beauty industry has always been a hot topic on bh and with many of us crying out for better representation, it’s great to see an older, beautiful woman at the forefront of a fast-growing brand.

“Once you pass a certain age, it is very rare to be approached to be the face of a skin care brand," said Rachel. "The current ideals seem to focus on younger looking skin so when Biologi approached me to work with the brand I was seriously thrilled!"
Speaking of skin, the photos themselves show Rachel’s in all its natural glory, without any smoothing of fine lines or wrinkles.
“I’m in my sixties so of course I have lines and wrinkles – this campaign allowed me to celebrate that and be proud of who I am, no matter what age,” she said.

It’s not the first time Biologi has been inclusive either, also recently partnering with Indigenous model, Sam Harris, as its first global ambassador.
“Authenticity is something we pride ourselves on at Biologi and this campaign is exactly that," said Biologi managing director, Lucy Macdougald. "We are celebrating beauty at any age and encouraging people to enhance what they already have (not change it)."
Bravo Biologi, we love to see it.
Have you tried any Biologi products? Do you like the new campaign?

Thank goodness. We need more brands to understand that when advertising products for older woman we dont want or need to have 18yr old girls in the advertising.

I agree with you and ageism exists and unfortunately, it is a serious problem but no one is taking it seriously which makes me feel disappointed.

Very frustrating when companies use someone who has never had a wrinkle on her face because she is still in her teens and yet there she is advertising antiwrinkle products for those woman who are more then double her age.

Finally some companies are listening. We are not all 18 years old. It's great to see a "real" woman that hasn't been airbrushed.

Yay! Why use models that don't look like they need to use anti-aging skincare? Much more realistic to use mature models.

I’ve never heard of this brand. You don’t have to be young to be beautiful.
