Best in Beauty - Luxe

Introducing…the super-exciting, ultra-prestigious, first ever… Best in Beauty awards! That’s right beauties, we’ve got a new awards initiative on the agenda, and just like the Hollywood Hall of Fame, we’ll be honouring some of the best beauty legends to ever grace our face (and body, and hair, and nails, and – oh you get our drift!).
Just like our regular awards, the Best in Beauty awards honour an outstanding product in each category. The only difference is that products that enter these awards don’t have to be launched within the last year. The Best in Beauty awards recognise all beauty products, and gives you the chance to vote for your long time favourites and ultimate hero products in the hope that they go home with a gorgeously glossy award.
The nominations
Beautyheaven invited the beauty industry to nominate award-worthy new products within a range of beauty categories. To be eligible for this year’s Best in Beauty nominations, products must be available for review on beautyheaven.com.au.
How to vote
We've gathered the nominations together, now you be the judge! Just like you’d do for our regular awards, simply submit a review and star rating for your favourite nominees and the star rating will count as points towards the coveted award. However, this year, we want to make sure the winners stay top secret! So we’re introducing a secret ballot where you have the opportunity to award three products the following secret points:
1 x 20 point vote
1 x 10 point vote
1 x 5 point vote
These three extra special votes should go to products you’re seriously silly over and would love to see win a Best in Beauty Award. Please note you will only have the opportunity to vote in the secret ballot once, and you must vote for three different products (from any category) for your secret ballot to be counted.
The product in each category with the highest number of points (from star ratings and secret votes) at the end of the voting period will be awarded a 2011 Best in Beauty award. Should a tie occur, reviews for the products in question will be considered, and a winner determined by beautyheaven's editorial team. Please note: if you have previously reviewed a product (before July 24th, 2011) that’s now nominated but feel it’s worthy of a Best in Beauty awards, you are able to submit a second review.
Voting is exclusive to registered beautyheaven members (not yet a member? Sign up here now!). Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 14th August 2011.
Vote to win!
Want to win the ultimate in beauty booty? Once the votes have been cast we’ll be giving away packs containing every winning product, in every category to 20 lucky members! These must-have goodie packs are valued on average at over $1500 each, and will be awarded to the 20 members who we believe have contributed the most valuable (quality, not necessarily quantity!) reviews throughout the voting process. (Please note: voting is only open to beautyheaven members from pink status upwards. At this time, votes from grey status members will not be counted. If you are currently a grey member, start reviewing products, commenting on blogs, sharing articles, and posting in the forums so you move up the ranks!)

Some gorgeous luxurious products nominated here. My biggest beauty splurge would have to be my GHD hair straightener.

I've only used 1 out of the list above... I would go broke if I were to try everyone of these.

I can not afford to purchase any of these Luxe products but it is interesting to read reviews and information on them. They do sound like they are stunning products.

My biggest beauty splurge is some Clarins probably once a year if I am lucky. Luxe products are way out of my reach.

I haven't tried any of these products but sometimes it worth a splurge, I had $400 worth of Myer cards and brought some makeup in Chanel and didn't have any change infact I had to put money towards the end total, how naughty!
