Bubble Purifying + Charcoal Face Mask Sheet Reviews

The first time i tried this product i had an event to attend to and the bubbling just kept making me super anxious.But i must say that after the treatment my skin did feel clean and radiant. Also my pores were visibly reduced.

Just a quick note make sure you rub the mask enough to activate the bubbles.

I do think it's a bit pricey compared to the other face masks available at those AHA stores given the fact that they both have a similar effect.I reckon it's better to stock them whenever there is a sale going on.

I try and do face masks 1-2 a week and I really enjoy trying new ones. This mask is a great additional to my weekly routine.

Prior to usage, you are to rub the sachet which activates the bubbles and distributes the product. The mask itself is black and the bubbles make it look like a bubble bath for your fact. It's quite interesting hearing the bubbles activate and tingle (although, not an uncomfortable tingle).

The entire mask routine was super pleasant and I was very satisfied with the results. My skin was left looking and feeling more refreshed.

I did find I had a lot leftover product so I rubbed it into my neck area.

I got this in my Priceline GWP bag, so I was keen to try it. the mask did bubble for me, and enjoyed the bubbly effect, My skin feels amazing afterwards, that is because of the hyaluronic acid and other antioxidants.

I am not really sure how the bamboo charcoal draws out toxins? If the bubble oxygen penetrates the skin, with the hyaluronic acid going in, wouldn't the charcoal bind to them and draw them out?

So, aside from the question, I think the mask works as it says it would.

Like all the other Skin Republic masks I have tried, this one is super easy to use. It's definitely worthwhile reading the instructions, as the mask has to be activated with a gentle, in package rub before application. I'm sure it would still work in some way if you neglected to do this, but always best to follow the instructions ;)

The mask itself is solid, and doesn't feel like it is about to tear on handling. Once you work out which way up it is, the mask is really straight forward to use. Yes, it looks really weird, and, yes, it feels really weird as the bubbles start to do their thing.

At times, it felt quick prickly, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to approach with care. But I could also feel that it was really work deeply into all those troublesome pores. After the regulation 25 minutes my skin felt super clean. I was expecting it to also feel a bit dried out, but there was not a trace of tightness.

For the next 48 hours I kept getting small break outs, which I'm attributing to all that gunk being dragged out my pores. I have a major issue with whiteheads, so despite the inconvenience of a few days of pimples, it's nice to know that those blockages have been cleaned out.

This was actually a very funny experience, as I didn't expect it to foam up so much!
I also was doing the mask late afternoon as I had finished work early. The mask was simple to apply like all the other skin republic ones which I love! I cleansed my face, applied the mask, and sat down on the lounge. 5 mins later my sister and her boyfriend came home and saw me directly sitting on the couch with a bubble/foam face and me in a towel . I knew it would be kinda funny to see but surely not that bad! I got up and looked in the mirror and realised my entire face was jst covered in foam which was probs 1cm deep to the tissue mask haha!

Apart from giving a great laugh, the mask itself did wonders. My skin had a really deep clean, and felt very smooth and soft after.

What they claim:

Eliminates impurities. Exfoliates dead skin cells. Fresh and luminous complexion. Not tested on animals. Oxygenating facial effect cleans pores while containing Fruit Acids which exfoliate and brighten the skin for a youthful appearance. When exposed to air the oxygenating mask begins to bubble and foam diving deep into the skin’s pores and eliminating impurities.

Initial thoughts on viewing the product:

To say I was excited when I opened my Secret Santa box and I saw this was a complete understatement. I was ecstatic! My Secret Santa had used the same mask weeks earlier and I was rather inspired (but hadn’t gotten around to getting one myself) so a huge shout out to Indie_Ana for her thoughtfulness!

One sachet contains one sheet mask with 20ml of serum and is loaded with all kinds of interesting ingredients and extracts, like grapefruit, apple, ginseng, witch hazel (of which I am a huge fan), rosa cetifola, lavender, tomato, tea tree, lime, lemon, orange, grape, and charcoal. It’s literally jam-packed with goodness! Yes, there’s some other stuff in there too, to give it that foaming action, but the majority of the ingredients are natural and for that, I am so very curious and thankful.

The mask is a single use only, and I am sitting here wearing it as I draft sections of this review.

Thoughts on application:

The sachet comes with step-by-step instructions on how to go about use (including skin preparation). The biggest tip is to rub the sachet prior to opening. The sachet is also very easy to open with the tear mark at the top of the packet. This mask is incredibly easy to apply. The sheet is carefully folded within the sachet. You simply unfold and place it onto your face where it then begins to progressively foam and bubble away.

This mask is fun. You can hear the bubbles bubbling away on your skin as they generate and progressively pop. The mask feels nice and cool on my skin, which isn’t irritated at all while I’m wearing it. I found my face mask didn’t completely bubble up all over, so I had to go in and tap the mask with my fingertips to ‘activate’ the oxygenation effect of the ingredients (which sets off the bubbles and foaming). This helped but I still didn’t get a full face of foam.

Once you’re done (the packaging says to wear for about 15 – 20 minutes but I went for nearly 30 minutes because I got distracted), simply remove the mask and rinse. I rubbed the last of the residue on my skin for a final ‘activation’ of product before rinsing off. The product rinsed very easily and left nothing but bright, clean and clear skin behind. So happy! Seriously!

The RRP for this mask sits at $7.99 however you can get this on sale at Coles and other retailers on a regular basis. I managed to pick up another one on sale a couple of weeks ago for $6.99, which isn’t too bad.

When I was lucky enough to win a giveaway with a generous selection of Skin Republic masks, the Bubble Purifying Charcoal Sheet Mask was the one that intrigued me the most.

It is a purifying sheet mask formulated with activated charcoal which attracts dirt and oil. The mask also contains fruit extracts known for their exfoliating properties.

The sheet mask is packaged in a foil packet. Simply tearing the top of the packet reveals the mask.

Before removing from the packet, as instructed I massaged a little. This just helps begin the foaming process where the magic is meant to happen. Placing the black mask onto the face is easy as it is not a thin mask and fits nicely.

As time passed wearing this mask, the foams continued to build. They tickled my skin slightly, kind of fun as opposed to being annoying. I left the mask on for about 25 minutes.

A quick wipe over with a face cloth and I was done. Once my skin dried, I touched my face surprised at just how soft and smooth it felt. Actually, I couldn't stop touching my skin.

Not only did my skin feel great, but looked fantastic. So clean and radiant. I was glowing! Even better, my skin still looked good the next day.

The Skin Republic Purifying Charcoal Sheet Mask is not only a fun, bubbly mask to use, but is definitely not a gimmick. The charcoal works well to clean pores, whilst skin is being gently exfoliated. I will be replacing this mask for sure!

I purchased this from chemist warehouse at 40% off.
This mask is quite expensive given that it only gives one application, so I recommend waiting until it is on a special before purchasing.
I cleansed my face first with my special cleansing gel and dried my face as per the instructions.
I then rubbed the sachet as instructed to activate the bubbles before ripping open the sachet to apply onto the face.
It didn't fit my face very well, the chin section was a bit too large and it didn't fully cover my cheeks.
The mask began to bubble upon exposure to the air. I didn't have any tickling or tingling sensations but it did feel very cooling, invigorating and refreshing.
It took a bit for the mask to fully erupt in a bubbly foam, I was beginning to wonder if I had done something wrong during the application process as I did have some bubbles foam up, nowhere near as much as I was expecting. Until I went outside to hang the washing and the bubbles exploded and went crazy, suddenley my face was covered in a bubbly foam millimetres thick haha :) So I think that with this mask, the more air it is exposed to the better the results.
I left it on for a little longer than the recommended time, about twenty-twenty five minutes before removing the mask and rubbing the bubbles that remained on my face, as instructed, for a deeper cleanse. It was easy to rinse off the remaining bubbles.
Upon removal of the mask my skin felt deeply cleansed and invigorated. It is not drying, irritating or tightening at all.
I have taken off a star because I don't find this mask to be good value for money; although it is fun to use and it does leave the skin feeling deeply cleansed $10 for a singular use is a bit much. I wouldn't purchase at full price.
It is a good face mask and everyone should try it at least once because it is a lot of fun watching your face erupt in bubbles, but I recommend waiting until it is on a special first.

You rip open the packaging after rubbing it to find a folded up mask. Unfold it and pop the mask on and prepare for what feels like bath bubbles to develop both under and on top of the mask. It is relaxing. After the recommended time take it off, rub the bubbles around your face and wash off with water. My face felt clean and smooth however my pores appeared slightly larger immediately after this mask. It is a bit gimicky I am not sure if I would use this again.
