URBAN SKIN 1 MINUTE DETOX MASK + PORE REFINE Reviews

I got this mask in a pack with the other urban face mask products. The tube is a great size especially for travelling or leaving in the shower. The smell is pleasant but not overwhelming and the product comes out as a medium thickness opaque gel. This mask is different to anything that I had used before thanks to it "self heating" formula. The more you work the product between your hands or the more water you add to the product the more it gradually warms up.

The mask doesn't set like other masks so removal is rather easy and you don't have to wait an excessive amount of time just one minute is enough as the packaging states.

I didn't mind the mask. It made my skin feel fresh and clean. In terms of pore refining I didn't see a lot of action so I don't think id use this over my regular clay mask but its an okay backup product if needed.

This heating mask promises that it'll refine your pores if you just use it for one minute. I've been using it roughly once a week, for a month now.

Pros: It only needs to stay on for one minute, so I found it really easy to incorporate this mask in my morning routine. The heating effect does work, and I really enjoyed how the mask gets pleasantly warm. It works as a nice cleanser and it can reduce redness and spots in the short term,

Cons: I did not see any long term effects or reduction in pore sizes.

Would I buy it again?
Maybe, if it's on sale, but I'm not going to restock the moment it's over.

I have fair, combination, sensitive skin (prone to irritation / redness), this product doesn't irritate my skin at all! It does contain PEG (microbeads) so when I remove this product I use water and a removal pad so that the plastic doesn't end up in waterways.

The product comes in an easy to use tube, it applies clear and spreads very easily. It has a lovely warming sensation (but it doesn't feel overly hot). Straight away my skin feels healthy and smooth but without a tight feeling.

I didn't notice a huge difference in the size of my pores but there is a small difference. With continued use, however, I hope to see more of a difference.

It's important to remember to not press too hard, this product only needs a light touch to work effectively.

This product was a nice addition to my skin care routine. Although it's not an actual mask as the name says it is, it still worked really nicely and left my skin feeling soft, smooth and refreshed.

I used this mask to replace the usual cleanser that I use at nighttime. I applied a small amount of it to my wet face and rubbed it in in circular motions. I didn't really notice the product heat up a lot (apparently its meant to) but this didn't really bother me at all. After rinsing it off and drying my face, I applied my usual moisturiser and went to bed. My skin felt quite smooth after but it felt even nicer when I woke up the next morning.

I used this product to remove excess makeup as if it was a cleanser which worked very well. The packaging is cute and compact, thus easy to take travelling instead of taking my usual larger bottles of cleanser/masks. Overall really enjoyed the product.

I really like this product. The fact that it is self-heating is great and makes it really comfortable to use after a long day when your skin (and body!) is tired. I find the formula relaxing and like that it doesn't take very long at all to get good results, so the effort required is minimal. I like the added Magnolia Extract which is soothing and ensures the skin is left clean and refreshed. The product claims to being vitality back to your skin - I'm not sure if I've seen those effects yet but I really like the convenience and ease of use of this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new mask - plus it is affordable!

I received this product in August as part of the trial team and got straight into using it! The texture is interesting, unlike any mask type product I have ever used, it feels more like a cleanser.

It definitely heats up which is really nice feeling, and makes you feel like it's really getting down into your pores. I found it easier to use in the shower and then after leaving it on for a minute, I added water to a gentle facial brush to remove the product.

I am not a huge fan of the scent, I felt like it was not unpleasant but a little bit overwhelming. I do find products that are too scented unappealing.

After using the product, my skin feels cleansed but not dry which I find a lot of other masks tend to do to my skin, so I like that a lot! I have used it a few times and do find it to be a great deep cleanser, I have quite large pores but have not really noticed a lasting effect on minimising them. Maybe immediately afterwards, but not long term. I will continue to use the product to see what happens over a few months.

I am always excited to try new masks - especially masks that promise to reduce pores! I have recently developed very sensitive skin, but found this to be gentle enough to incorporate into my daily routine (which is impressive in itself, as my skin has been super selective lately).

The first thing I noticed about the NIVEA 1 Minute Urban Skin Detox Mask +Pore Refine’s was it's unusual texture - the product is a clear gel, with a texture very similar to oil. I was amazed when I first tried this, as it heats up when applied, which provides such a lovely and relaxing feeling. It felt very luxurious on my skin, and I would love to have this during a facial massage!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it rinsed off very easily, leaving no residue. My skin felt slightly tight and dry, similar to how it would feel after being cleansed. As if only requires a 1 minute application, it was very easy to slip this into my daily routine. The smell was very pleasant - I can't quite place the floral note, but it definitely reminds me of other Nivea product scents.

I gave this product 4 stars, as I loved the mini pamper session from this product, and it did make my skin feel and smell lovely. However, I failed to notice any visible different in my pores, which was quite disappointing for me.

This is one of the best face products I have ever tried! I usually have a lot of blackheads and spots on and around my nose, and on my chin. However, after using this, much of these have visibly reduced.
The bottle is small, and it makes you think it will be used up small, however this isnt the case. A little certainly goes a long way and the tube lasts ages. I love the warm sensation the product has and it is light and wearable for the minute you have to leave it on for. After, it's easy to wash off and leaves skin feeling soft and cleansed. I've never found a product that works so well to remove my blackheads, this is honestly so good! I will for sure purchase it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great exfoliator that you can use daily without worry!

The NIVEA 1 Minute Urban Skin Detox Mask + Pore Refine product comes packaged in a 75ml tube with a flip top lid. The packaging is simple and convenient, and the squeeze tube allows me to dispense the amount of product I am after with ease.

The mask dispenses as a translucent gel which is quite thick in texture. I apply the gel formula to a cleansed, wet face and begin massaging the product into my skin, avoiding my eye area. As soon as the product comes into contact with my skin, I can feel the warming sensation right away which I find very enjoyable and soothing - the self heating formula of the product works a treat! The product does not lather on the skin much, which suits me as I find products which lather quite drying on my skin. If I apply more water to my skin, the product continues to warm up.

The mask rinses off my skin with lukewarm water and does not leave any residue. I like to massage the product into my skin for 1-2 minutes. It is recommended that the mask be used 2-3 times a week; I find two weeks well for my skin, particularly in the colder months where my skin leans to the dry side. I found the mask to have a noticeable perfumed scent (quite usual for Nivea products), possibly from the magnolia extract.

After applying the mask, my skin is left feeling very clean and smooth. It does not dry my skin out, or leave it feeling stripped of its natural oils. I do think the mask does a good job of leaving my skin looking clean and healthy, however I have not seen a noticeable difference in my pores being visibly tightened, refined or cleared as the product claims. I think the mask would need to have stronger ingredients and be left on the skin for a longer period of time for more visible results to be achieved.

What I do think this mask is good for is a deeper second cleanse after a long day of wearing a full-face of makeup, and being exposed to environmental stresses and pollutants which clog the skin. This is how I like to use the mask personally. I love how convenient the mask is - I am someone who like many find themselves strapped for time, so I like that I can cleanse in the shower, and follow with this mask for a couple of minutes.
