This juicer turns fruit into face masks (for real)
At bh, we’re big fans of natural skin care ingredients, so we were beyond excited this morning when we heard about a fruit juicer that makes face masks.
It comes from Korea (of course) and it’s customisable. As in, you can throw whatever fruit and vegies you please in there – and then apply the magical mixture to your FACE!
Refinery29 Korean beauty correspondent Joyce Kong discovered the must-have gadget at the International Beauty Expo in Korea over the weekend.
Here’s the mesmerising video she posted of the sheet mask juicer in action:
In summary, all you have to do is toss your favourite fruits and vegies, water, and a tablet of thickening ingredients (think agar and seaweed extracts) into the blender.
Fast-forward five minutes, and your ultimate face mask is born.
Apparently you can even replace the water with your preferred essence for a more customised experience or with milk for a hydrating effect.
Pretty cool, huh?!
Sadly, the juicing mask maker has only just finished the conception and testing stage, so it hasn’t been distributed yet.
We suspect it’ll cost a bomb when it finally hits the market…but then the fun-factor kind of outweighs that, am I right?
We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it hits Aussie shelves!
In the meantime, here are a few of our favourite fruity face masks:
- Shanga Hydrating Fruit Mask
- bh's Rosie's DIY avocado mask
- Natio Apricot & Orange 10 Minute Brightening Mask
- Elemis Fruit Active Rejuvenating Mask
- 7th Heaven Creamy Coconut Masque
- Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask
