A solid oil cleanser
I used this in the shower every morning to remove any remaining Vicks and oils built up on my face overnight.
It's very easy to use. Three pumps into the palm of your hand (Try and keep your hand dry at this point), rub it in circular motions on your face, THEN wet your hands and repeat and the product "activates" and starts to turn white. And then simply remove with a washcloth.
I didn't notice a smell or anything with the product. I did notice however the pump didn't always want to work and towards the end of the bottle, it was impossible to pump the product out so I had to pour it on my hand and that just wasted some product as it was too easy to pour out too much.
On the times that I used it to remove my makeup, I found it about 90% successful in removing it and I only wear powder foundation. It could be a little drying straight after using but it isn't long until my skin felt normal again.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil
The Neutrogena Deep Cleansing Oil is a thick, syrupy cleansing oil that is transparent clear in colour and quite strongly scented with a apple/floral scent.
It feels refreshing to use, you can really feel the deep cleansing action after application. It has a refreshing cooling sensation upon contact with the skin.
Only a little amount is needed per application; approx the size of a 20c coin will be more than sufficient.
I find that it isn't the best at removing stubborn makeup; a double cleanse is a must to remove residual traces of mascara. It leaves most mascara smudged onto the lower lashes.
This would be a good cleansing oil if not for the scent; it is so strongly fragranced. It does linger for some time after rinsing.
I found it easy to use, same method as all other cleansing oils; apply to dry skin, massage for a moment, add water, massage again, rinse. Done.
I probably won't be re purchasing this due to the strong scent; I prefer the micellar facial wash over this one.
Always double cleanse

My go to makeup remover
This is my current go to make up remover. There is so much to like about this cleanser, not least that it comes from Neutrogena which generally produce really good products.
The number one reason why I keep returning to this little blue bottle is that it really does do what it says on the label. It is one of the deepest cleansing oils I've used to date.
The Deep Clean oil easily takes care of everything though, including eye make up and mascara. It also takes off foundation and lip stain, leaving the skin perfectly clean and soft.
My only beef with it is that it tastes AWFUL! I often wear a lip stain and need to remove it at the end of the day. While this product does the job without blinking, it really does taste bitter and disgusting. I fully appreciate that it was not made to be taken internally, but there is also an inevitability that some will get into your mouth while doing a thorough clean.
Apart from this though, I can't recommend it highly enough
Try not to get any in your mouth!

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil is a nice cleansing oil. It helps to deeply clean the skin and remove eye make-up and make-up, grime and dirt build up. It comes in a handy pump bottle 200ml size. I pick this up on special at Coles usually. It feels good on the skin and isn't harsh.

LOVED this product! It even removed my eye-makeup!!!
This is the first oil cleanser I have tried. I absolutely loved it! I loved the oily feel of the product, it was not too heavy, but it was oily enough to gently massage my skin with. I was afraid after massaging for too long it would dry up, but it did not. It was very consistent. It also gently removed my mascara, which was very much an attribute to this product because I hate removing eye makeup. After applying water to the oil, it turned into a kind of soap and washed off very easily. My skin felt very clean afterward and was not oily at all, which I feel like would be a concern for most people when using this type of product.

Don't really like it
I'm not a fan of this cleansing oil. I like how the consistency of the oil feels light and non-greasy. I also liked how you could add water to further emulsify it, which felt very interesting and fun.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that I don't like about it.
Firstly, the packaging. I absolutely hate the neck of the pump bottle. I always have to line up the barrels of the pump mechanism thing in order to pump the product out. When I don't line them up properly, either nothing comes out or it messily half pumps the product out. Here, I thought a pump bottle is suppose to dispense the product in a clean and neat way, but that was not the case with the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil.
Secondly, the fragrance. When I used it for the very first time, the scent was quite pleasant. It was like a berry, fruity smell. However, after that initial use, the scent became so intense that it made me feel a little sick. Therefore, I couldn't use this product on a daily basis. I had to keep switching between the Neutrogena and another cleansing oil that I already owned. I just simply can't stand that overpowering fragrance.
Lastly, the fact that it doesn't cleanse your skin properly. I massaged the oil onto my skin for about 1-2 minutes, then I tried emulsifying the product with water and massaging it in circular motions as directed in the instructions (for another 1-2 minutes). After rinsing it off, I used a makeup remover wipe to test if it really did clean my face. I still had some foundation and mascara residues. I have also tested it against a baby oil, and the baby oil worked so much better. That being said, the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil did feel a little more nourishing than the baby oil and as mentioned before, it's not greasy.
Overall, I'm just not impressed with this cleansing oil at all, which is a shame because it really tarnished the brand, and Neutrogena is usually a good brand. I hope they will further improve it and release another version of it.

Doesn’t remove all of my makeup
I was excited to try this as it looks like a nice easy way to remove face makeup. I used it as the instructions say to, dry hands and face, and left it on for a good amount of time.
My first impressions were that it did leave my face feeling clean and I liked that it felt gentle on the face and has not broken me out. It has a bit of a strange smell, but oils usually tend to, and it tastes prettt nasty so make sure to keep away from your mouth!
But after using the product a few times, and using other wipes/ makeup removers after, I’ve notice it definitely doesn’t remove all of my makeup. When I use a wipe straight after, I often see leftover makeup come off onto the wipe (though the face does seem clean).
One other thing to note is that it definitely doesn’t take off eye makeup - i was left with raccoon eyes.
Keep away from your mouth, and don’t buy this if you’re looking for something to remove waterproof eye makeup.
A gentle light clean which won’t leave the skin irritated or broken out.

I am a huge fan of cleansing oils, ever since learning about the double cleanse technique through Korean skincare, and so I was curious to try the Neutrogena Deep Cleansing Oil. Thank you BH for letting me be part of the trial team for this product.
The oil comes in a generously sized push-pump nozzle container. The oil is fairly thick in consistency, in comparison to other cleansing oils I have tried from Korean brands, however I love the scent of this one. It has such a fresh and floral scent which lingers even after you wash your face.
I used it firstly on a dry face to remove makeup by massaging it into the skin, and then add some water and wash off once the makeup is coming loose. I often only wear light make up, and it removed it easily. I still however prefer to use micellar water to remove eye makeup as I feel it is more delicate an area, however this oil can be used around the eye area as well.
Overall I found it enjoyable and effective to use, without leaving my face feeling oily afterwards. Fresh faced feeling.

Nourishing and Cleansing
I was thrilled to be part of the Trial Team for the Deep Clean Cleansing Oil by Neutrogena. I have always loved how effective cleansing oils are at removing make up and dirt, but often found that they left my skin feeling oily afterward. But not this one!
I used this product on dry skin, as recommended by the label, using gentle circular motions to rub the product into my skin. The cleansing oil was easy to wash off and definitely didn't leave my skin feeling slick or oily.
After using the product my skin felt incredibly clean and my toner pulled almost nothing out of my skin. My skin was soft and smooth, and looked lovely.
I have combination skin and it has worked wonders on my skin. I would definitely recommend this product for everyone, no matter what their skin type is. It would have amazing benefits on dry skin.
Once you have rubbed the product onto dry skin, use a little water to emulsify the product before rinsing off

effective makeup remover
i’ve always been intreigied by oil makeup removing cleansers, will they leave my skin oily? will they remove all my makeup? will it be messy? in a sense, the answer is yes to all.
the neutrogena deep clean cleansing oil is a very effective way to remove your makeup, i pumped a little bit of oil into my hands and massaged in circular motions and then rinsed my face, pretty much all of my makeup was gone!
unfortunately, i wasn’t a big fan of the scent, it’s hard to describe what it smelt like, a little soapy? and it left my face with a quite oily residue. which if you have a dry akin type, would be fine. but for me, with already naturally more oily skin, it made it left me feeling even more greasy and oily and felt like i immediately needed to go in with my cleanser.
i would really reccomend this to anyone with dry skin looking for a way to quickly and effectively remove their makeup without drying out their skin!
don’t use too much! a little does a long way

This cleansing oil is tricky to write about. Firstly because it is so incredibly amazing that there is nothing to fault. Firstly, the packaging is nice. Simple, but flawless and is very Savy for fitting into a suitcase or a handbag for an overnight getaway. Then secondly the smell of the product is quite neutral but leaves the skin smelling fresh and youthful. Thirdly, the texture of the facial wash is smooth and silky on the skin so feels like you’re applying a moisturiser when it’s actually a facial dash! Fourthly, the aftermath once you’ve washed it off and dried your skin. My skin has never felt cleaner, healthier or more enriched. I’m not fibbing, I am absolutely 110 percent satisfied with my product. I’ve already bought my 4 sisters one and am yet to hear there reviews in the product. I don’t doubt they will be just as impressed.

Great oil cleanser for dry skin
The Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil is a great daily cleanser that not only removes make up but leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated. I was surprised at how easy it was to use, being an oil based product but it was very simple. It can be applied straight onto dry skin and then mixed with some water removes make up and dirt to cleanse the face. It is helpful to use a face washer or cloth to remove as the oil makes it a little slower to simply wash off if you are splashing your face with water. It did not irritate my skin, even going over my eyes and didn't leave a heavy residue. It is great for dry skin as it doesn't dry out the skin at all. It really doesn't take a lot of product either to do the job. And an extra bonus is that it smells so nice!

Face feels fresh
After trialling the Nutrogena deep clean cleansing oil my mind has been changed. I was skeptical to start with when one product promises to clean your face and remove make up at the same time. I usually find these products don’t always remove my makeup properly and am back to reaching for the make up wipes. I was also worried that because this is an oil it would affect my already oily skin. Oh first use I was already impressed. You only need a small 10 cent coin size amount. Run into a dry face and then rinse. The product becomes activated in water so slightly foams up once you wet your face. My face after felt clean and smooth. It left no residue and my face makeup was nicely removed. It didn’t completely remove all my eye make up so I did have to go over my eyes again but otherwise I was impressed.

Excellent for removing makeup
I was lucky enough to trial this cleansing oil, and was excited to try a new method of removing makeup in the evening. I usually use Garnier micellar water to remove my makeup, or Nivea cleansing cream wash if I'm feeling lazy.
The bottle is very neat and simple, and it has a great pump that dispenses an appropriate amount of product each time (I used about 1-1.5 pumps each day). You do not need to shake the bottle before use.
The suggested instructions for Neutrogena's cleansing oil was to apply it to a dry face and then add water. I found it easiest to squirt a pump-full of the product into my hand, jump into the shower and apply it to my face, and then turn on the water and wash it off.
The product itself is a clear oil that is easy to rub all over the face. It does not foam up when applied or after water has been added, but you can see the makeup almost immediately being wiped off.
I found that the cleansing oil was great for removing my face makeup. I use Estee Lauder's Nude Water Fresh foundation and Tarte's Shape Tape concealer with setting powder and all of that comes off easily. Most of my eye makeup (especially eyeshadow), is relatively easy to remove too. The problem is only with the actual mechanics of wiping off my eye makeup. Usually I would use a cotton pad to wipe off my mascara and eyeliner, but I have only been using my fingertips in the shower with this cleansing oil. This makes it difficult to reach the eye area without wiping the oil all into my eyes. I have used Garnier's micellar water after using Neutrogena's cleansing oil, and there has not been any extra makeup to remove.
After using, I find that usually my skin feels clean and smooth. Sometimes, it feels more on the oily side, which is why I do not use the cleansing oil every day if I don't have makeup on. I still would use it about 4-5 times a week, and after a few weeks of use, have not noticed any dramatic negative changes in my skin.
Overall this is a really nice cleansing oil, and I love the appeal of being able to wash everything off in the shower at once. The only downside would be that it is harder to remove eye makeup with the oil (though this would be a similar problem for most cleansers that don't require wipes). I would definitely consider repurchasing this product in the future!

Thanks bh for letting me trial the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing
Oil I was happy that I was apart of this trial as the deep clean range is the only cleansing products I use.
I have tried so many brands, expensive and affordable and nothing has seemed to work for my skin. I was shocked that micella to gel didn’t affect my sensitive so I was super excited to trial their new cleansing oil.
I just knew I would love it, first glacé it looks the exact same packaging as the micall to gel bottle just with a pump top, so it fits perfect with the range.
I love how this bottle has a pump so it’s easier to use and you know your getting the right amount to use. At first it was different it felt like I needed a lot of product but you don’t as when it hits water it’s the perfect amount.
It’s great for people with dry skin it’s super moisturising & soothes the skin which is great!! I have had no reaction to this product & it’s perfect for sensitive skin.
I have seen a lot of review regarding this product and they are all positive which is good to see. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this cleanser apart from the smell it has a really strong scent.
Although this product isn’t the best for removing makeup you would need to use a wipe before putting the cleanser on as it doesn’t remove everything.
Overall this is a great product I would recommend to anyone with sensitive skin and also people that love there other items in the range. I would repurchase again.

leaves skin feeling moisturised
The Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil works really well in removing my makeup. It left my skin feeling really soft and moisturized. I was surprised that I did not experience any breakouts using a product that contains oil. It had a subtle smell of strawberries. The cleansing oil comes in an easy pump bottle making it really easy to use. To use the product, add some of it to your hands and rub it all over your face. Add some water to your hands and rub your entire face in circular motions to emulsify the product. Then rinse off with warm water. I did find it a bit difficult to remove my mascara, so for my eye area, once I washed my face off, I added a bit more of the cleansing oil to my area and used a damp makeup wipe and rubbed it a couple of times to remove the mascara off. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a product that effectively takes your makeup off and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized.

Firstly the bottle is very visually appealing, i like that its simple, a nice colour and i like the pump applicator. I normally use face wash to clean my skin after a night out or after wearing makeup and it usually does the trick. I found that the cleansing oil also removed my makeup with ease and made my skin feel clean and moisturised after use. At first i was surprised by the consistency, i have oily skin and the thought of putting oil on my skin didn't feel right, but once id massaged it into my face and added some water it felt really good. I used this product while wearing both waterproof eyeliner and mascara and it worked effortlessly, i would note not to get it too close to your eyes or be careful as it can feel a little uncomfortable but that is expected from any product that goes near your eyes. Overall its a great product that i will continue to use.
Anyone who uses makeup and wants clean and fresh feeling skin.

I really enjoyed trialing this product. It was very moisturising and had a subtle scent which wasn’t chemically, which was a positive. To apply the product I squirted a few pumps into my hand and rubbed it in circular motions on my face, until I noticed my makeup mixing with the cleanser. I made sure to not rub the product too close to me eyes as I do have eyelash extensions and need to avoid oily products. I then washed my face with water and noticed that alll the makeup was gone. After drying my face, my face felt a lot smoother and hydrated. I really enjoyed the packaging of this product as it came in a pump bottle making it super easy to use. The product also comes with a generous amount of product that I think will last a few months. I highly recommend this product :)

Cleansing & Moisturising
After testing this cleanser out in place of my sensitive skin cleanser, I can say that I really like it and the effect it has had on my skin. I've stopped breaking out as much, and when I do have a break out, they're usually only small and heal fast. While using my previous skin cleanser, my skin was prone to developing dry, flaky patches, but this oil cleanser seems to be so gentle and hydrating that I haven't had a problem with those while using it. The product hasn't flared up my rosacea, which I'm really glad about. It smells absolutely heavenly, but the biggest downside that I've found to this product is that it tastes absolutely awful. It's not the easiest to avoid getting any in your mouth so I would definitely recommend taking care to avoid it. The cleanser also emulsified much better than previous oil cleansers I've tried.

Gentle Makeup Remover
I really liked this as a makeup remover. One pump of it rubbed into my face takes off almost all of my makeup! The only thing I need to do is clean up the under eyes if I have had really dark coloured eye shadows or a lot of mascara on. The oil was really gentle on my skin and didn't dry it out at all especially around the eye area. It is fragranced slightly but I liked the smell of it and it wasn't over the top or irritate anything on my face which I was really happy with because I have really sensitive eyes. The only thing is that I have an oily skin type so I can be hesitant with using oils but with this one I didn't feel like it left a layer of oil on my face it just felt clean and hydrated so I would be light on the moisturiser after using this to make sure I didn't add too much moisture.
Oily skin types may need to use there usual face wash etc afterwards
