Natural wonder: how to look good without makeup

Ever considered how you’d score on the bare-faced beauty barometer? What’s that, you’d rather wear a paper bag on your head than front the world without your face paint? It’s high time you kicked your cosmetic customs lady and got back to basics. Uncover your natural beauty, break free from your cosmetic chains and get naked!

The time has come to wow the world without your make-up but we wouldn’t encourage you to expose yourself without the necessary preliminary preening. Here’s our guide to bare naked beauty:
Strip off
A gentle cleanser can do more than just rid the skin of dirt, grease and impurities; it can leave your skin feeling super clean (but not tight) and revitalised. Akin Rose and Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & Toner in One is enriched with natural panama bark, shea and olive squalene to freshen and tone even the most sensitive of skins. But don’t just take our word for it. Read your rave reviews…
Buff up
Scrub away dull skin cells with Algoane Intense Radiance Exfoliator. Algae, apricot oil and vitamin E set to work to uncover supple, glowing skin in seconds. But if you favour a less abrasive approach to ditching dull skin, try Dr. LeWinn’s Facial Polishing Gel. Natural jojoba beads give dry, flaky skin the heave ho.
Cover up
A good basic skincare regime can yield such radiant results that you won’t want to mask it with make-up. However, an SPF is a must to guard your new-found glow. Try True Solutions True Total Age Protector SPF 30+ Untinted. It protects against UV rays while caring for the complexion with vegetable glycerin, allantoin and vitamin E.
Highly rated by you is Sunsense Daily Face SPF 30+ (read some rave reviews). Those who don’t dig the greasy feel of sunscreen on their skin will love this. The lightly tinted cream spreads easily and provides a matte finish. Plus, at $13.99 it’s a steal.
Bare-faced blush
Still feeling a little too naked? Boost your self-confidence with a natural shimmer. For a goddess glow apply Natio Liquid Bronzer to the areas of the face that would naturally attract the sun (such as cheekbones, nose and forehead).
Take a look at your fresh-faced, beautiful self.

Bare faced beauty over here! Haha. I do love make-up but only wear it for special occasions. I do love the way make-up looks and how it makes you feel but I'm really into being as natural as possible with my skin, I definitely put more effort into my skincare than make-up.

When I stopped wearing full makeup going on ten years ago, my face thanked me for it.
Now I wear tinted physical sunscreen and lip gloss or lippie at most!

Everyday makeup for me is lipstick and concealer for my under eyes but that's it. If it's a special event, I'd wear mascara and foundation (either a cushion or loose powder).

I have been using the Tatcha Pearl for under-eye, which is skincare that really hides the dark circles under my eyes without settling into fine lines. Once it sets its in place all day and looks like bear skin. I'm officially in <3
Other than that I like to line my top eyelid add mascara and blush and I am done! Some times I will add some concealer just to the areas of my face that need extra coverage.
I spend a lot of time and money on my skincare routine so would prefer to enhance my skin rather than cover it. Doing my makeup like this makes me feel great, my skin looks fresh, I look healthy and I always get compliments on my makeup/skin.

I never wear make up apart from a little loose powder when we have a special day or going somewhere nice, moisturisers are of course a must but lipstick and powder and sometimes (only sometimes) I will use a little shading around my cheek bone are my go to make up only.

In my early 20s I noticed a lot of people around me had a "cannot leave the house without" mentality. I was still wearing makeup every day as well at that stage and started noticing it wasn't JUST for fun anymore, it was out of fear as well. You know, that one day something happens, you go to work without makeup and everyone asks you if you're sick or tired... I hated that. It shattered me every time. So I just kept covering up. So I flipped the script... I am 50% completely bare, 25% a little makeup and only go all out about 25% of the time. Nobody asks me if I'm sick or tired anymore, and instead when I do wear makeup they know IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG hahaha

I only take off my make up before bed then reapply in the morning. I look awful without make up especially foundation. I wish I could go bare faced but i feel more confident with my make up on. Go with what gives you confidence in yourself I say.

Sunscreen is a daily basic. Lip colour & eyeliner are my bare minimum in terms of makeup.

I go natural all the time... I think a lot of it has to do with confidence and feeling good about your face going naked!!!

I am insecure about my freckles and I always wear something, the best I found in the tinted moisturiser with good but natural coverage was the Klara 3D Moisture Daily but the packaging is garbage and the pump malfunctions constantly so I gave up on it
