Perfect timing: The best time of day to apply skincare

Make the most of every minute following our schedule for the best time of day to apply skincare products for maximum benefit. We have an easy-to-follow plan for lush locks, glowing skin and bright eyes with minimum effort. It’s as easy as synchronising your watch to beautyheaven time.
6.13am
Wake skin up with an zingy burst of peppermint, eucalyptus, lemongrass and basil. This combination in the frothy Natio Pep-Up Body Cleanser will have you singing in the shower.
6.32am
After showering, prep the delicate skin under eyes for the long day ahead with Olay Deep Hydrating Eye Gel. The firming eye gel helps reduce any overnight puffiness and reduce fine lines.
7.16am
Start the day as you mean to finish: fresh and oil-free thanks to the MAC Oil Control Lotion. Not only is it lightweight and matte, natural exfoliants and antioxidant give texture and clarity a boost.
8.07am
Before you leave the house, be sure to apply sunscreen to your face and any exposed skin. Don’t forget the lips either. Ella Bache Great 30+ Facesaver guards against UVA, UVB and infrared rays while nourishing with vitamin E and a combination of natural waxes.
9.55am
By now, your hands could probably use a treat. Keep a tube of Jurlique Lavender Hand Cream on your desk and slather a little on while you work. Breathe slowly and deeply as you massage it in. The lavender scent should help keep you calm.
3.24pm
Craving a pick me-up? Lightly spritz La Mav Rose Hydrating Mist over your face and neck. You'll feel re-balanced and it will give your skin a glow.
9.19pm
Run a bath and while you soak, apply Redken Real Control Overnight Treat to shampooed hair. Comb through and squeeze out excess moisture because you’ll be sleeping with this on. Don’t worry, it’s designed to be absorbed by hair not your pillow. In the morning, rinse out for super soft locks.
9.24pm
Give your freshly cleansed skin a boost with a pre-slumber treatment mask. The Abeeco Bee Venom Masks are packed full of natural ingredients that work to nourish, soften, and calm the skin.
9.37pm
Get a jump on the day ahead by applying Johnson's® Holiday Skin Body Lotion. The moisturising formula delivers instant softness while the gradual-tanning component imparts a flattering golden glow that can be deepened by further applications over the next couple of nights.
10.46pm
Before you fall into bed, make the most of your beauty sleep with a dedicated night cream. Ultraceuticals Ultra A Hydration Booster is enriched with vitamin E and AHAs to ensure you wake with smooth, hydrated skin. It also includes retinol which increases photosensitivity so can only be used at night.

6am I’m usually already on my way to work. I usually have a quick shower. Cleanse, tone and moisturise and apply ultra violette tinted sunscreen and I take it with me too for a touch up.

Love how precise these times are haha. I don't do a whole lot in the morning other than moisturise after showering. I usually perform the majority of my skincare routine before bed.

The Jurlique hand cream with Lavender sounds heavenly. I love having handcreams handy at work. I have a stash to go through though.

This is a great schedule. kind of matches with my timings of walking up, going out of the house for work etc if only I could remember to do all this.

Eh. I just do my routine as soon as my face has been washed (after waking up, before bed).

Why is there such a gap between coming out of the shower and applying moisturiser?? My skin would be parched!

Haha... I’ve usually fallen asleep on the couch by 9pm! Wouldn’t it be lovely to have the luxury of time to have a relaxing bath every now and again.

I’m not a morning person and struggle to wake up that hour to slap on my beauty routine. There’s a reason why it’s called beauty sleep!

This is very specific, I'd be lucky to get my teeth brushed and put a moisturiser with sunscreen before leaving the house. Night time is my beauty time!
