Cure beauty boredom with blue liquid liner

Both liquid and gel liners are wonderful inventions. They help add a certain intensity to eye make-up that a pencil liner just can’t achieve. Plus, winged liner anyone?
But sometimes your standard black liquid or gel liner is just a tad boring. And safe. Which is why I decided day two of my blue eye make-up challenge had to be dedicated to exploring the benefits of a coloured liquid liner.
The Blinc Cosmetics Liquid Liner in Blue was just as easy (or hard, depending on your experience) to apply as any other liquid liner but has the whole colour thing going for it. The shade is blue enough to add the subtlest hint of colour without looking childish or unprofessional making it a win for any workplace. It also gave my top lash line that extra intensity. The only drawback? Sometimes I actually wanted to be able to spot the blue from the distance.
Here’s how you can add that splash of blue to your eye look, too:
1) Using your liquid or gel liner, draw a line right where your top lashes meet your eyelid. Make sure the line is thinnest at the inner corner and gradually thickens out as you head towards your outer corner.
2) Fill in any gaps between the line and your lash line.
3) Feel free to add a flick or a wing for some extra pizzazz.
4) Coat your lashes with two or three coats of mascara to given them some length and definition.
5) Finish off with either a slick of gloss on your lips a rose-coloured lipstick.

I think I am actually brave enough to do blue eyeliner (as oppose to mascara). I think it could work if I wear the right outfit

I don't have a steady enough hand to use a liquid eyeliner successfully. May try the look with a good pencil liner though

I've never bought a liquid liner though I've purchased Avon's "Simply Pretty Transforming Liquid Eyeliner". It is supposed to transform any colour eyeshadow into a liquid eyeliner. I tried using it once, with black eyeshadow, but it does not produce a very opaque eyeliner. I haven't used the product since and am a bit disappointed with my purchase :(.

I am not very good at applying liquid eyeliner, but since I discovered Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner, I'm getting much better at it (its shorter brush gives me more control). There's now a navy in this eyeliner which I'm about to start experimenting with.

Blue eyeliner is great for when I'm post migraine & the whites of my eyes aren't white at all. Blue eyeliner makes the whites look much whiter. I like navy best for its subtlety.

Beautiful colour, but I find liquid eyeliner too harsh.

I never wear eyeliner full stop! I have had navy eyeliner applied to me before, but that was in pencil form. It looked nice though.
That is a gorgeous shade of blue Carli!

I agree with Misy Rose that the addition of a thin blackline next to the lashline makes this look more wearable.

I'll stick with my black eyeliner but I think adding a blue eyeliner above the black might be a pretty effect... now I want to go and buy one!

I haven't worn blue liner for many many years. I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to applying liquid liner. I certainly would consider wearing blue liner though.
