8 Iconic Mascaras Put To The Test

How many times have you heard people talking about a certain mascara like it’s God’s gift to the universe? Or maybe you’ve heard so much buzz about one that you’re sure no other mascara seems to exist?
Sometimes lots of people talk about a product so often that it cements its place in that list of cult products that you have to have – even if you’ve never heard why the product is so good.
We took it upon ourselves to road-test some of the most talked-about and popular mascaras to see if they’re really worth your hard-earned cash.
Check out what some of the beautyheaven staffers tried, what they thought, and how each mascara transformed their lashes.
Have you tried any iconic mascaras? What’s your favourite mascara?

I’ve tried most of these. If I had to chose one of them, I’d go for Benefit They’re Real. It’s popular for a good reason. It’s fantastic.

Benefit's They're Real mascara is one of my favourites. Nice mix of products here and a good spread of prices too.

I need to try the covergirl lash blast. I recently finished using the covergirl full lash bloom and I loved it. I will be investing in more covergirl mascaras in the future.

I am easy with mascaras. Any works for me. Loved Lancome grandiose, even had that double sided Guerlain (for bottom and top lashes)....then now using Rimmel lash accelerator....they are all same to me, giving me that fab look i want

Nothing beats Chanel mascara (amongst many other things) for me! Tried hundreds in my time including most in this list but I keep going back to Chanel! Definitely worth the money!

Tried 3 out of these ones and like none of them. For me the most important thing is non smudge.

At the moment I am loving L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D but I am a fan of a classic Diorshow and They're real by Benefit too. Soon I will be trying an Italian brand Collistar and their bestselling Infinito mascara.

I have tried most of the above mascaras. I actually counted all my mascaras yesterday and discovered I have 40.

There's at least one here that I have found disappointing. I love Benefit's They're Real mascara - my current favourite over previous long-time must-have Diorshow.
