Spring makeup trends you can actually wear

Each season, we take it upon ourselves to bring you the latest beauty trends straight from the runways. But sometimes what looks cool and edgy and uber-stylish on the catwalk doesn’t really translate to everyday wear. Just imagine how an intricate graphic liner masterpiece would go down in your next work meeting…
So let’s talk about the hottest shades to sport this spring and how you can make them totally and utterly wearable. You’re welcome.
THE COLOUR: HOT PINK

How you can wear it:
Okay, this one is actually pretty easy to replicate if you’re into a bright, bold lip look. For maximum impact, line the edges of your lips with a hot pink liner. This will define your lips and stop your lip colour from bleeding so you can go about your day without sneakily checking yourself out in the mirror every five minutes.
If a bold lip is a little too daring for you, go for a hot pink nail polish.
Try: BABOR Tropical Spirit Ultra Shine Lip Colour 36 Tropical Pink
THE COLOUR: LILAC

How you can wear it:
I’m guessing a lilac lippie is a bit too out there for most, so the best (and most subtle) way to embrace this soft hue is to pop some on your peepers. Added bonus: the shade is flattering on all eye colours, too.
If you’re not a fan of wearing eyeshadow, try using a lilac liner (or lilac shadow and an angled brush) to gently line your bottom lash line.
Try: Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Cornflower
THE COLOUR: BRIGHT BLUE

How you can wear it:
Bright blue shadow – especially blended all the way to the brow bone – isn’t a ‘don’t-mind-me-I’m-just-going-about-my-business’ kind of look. It makes a huge statement, and if it’s not one you want to make, but you’re keen to add a splash of blue to your look, just line your eyes with a bold blue pencil. For a subtle take on the trend, gently line your bottom lash line. For something a bit more eye-catching, line your lid from the inner corner of your eye all the way to the outer corner. For a look that means serious business, combine the two.
Try: Maybelline New York Master Kajal Cream Kohl Liner in Lapis Blue
THE COLOUR: VIBRANT ORANGE

How you can wear it:
Again, this is a runway trend that can be worn everyday without making you feel like you’ve gone overboard – if you’re into a bold lip look, that is. If you prefer make-up that’s less intense, you can always try a more orange-based blush or an orange nail polish instead.
Try: Rimmel London Moisture Renew in Love With Ginger

The more subtle blue eyeliner look is something I would try.

I've done almost all of it except for the lilac lippie!

I love most of the looks except for the bright blue which I don't think I would suit we'll. My favourites would defiantly have to be the pink and the orange.

I really like the lilac eyes. Not so much the lips, though it's certainly a striking look on the model.

Orange was my go to lip color in my late teens, early twenties. Not sure I could pull it off now though - 20 + years later. It was Revlon "Wild Wild Orange". One of only two lippys that were used up to the very last. The other was a lovely slightly shimmery pale pink.

I also have to wonder if I'd ever dare to try wearing a lapis blue eyeliner/eyeshadow. Probably not!

I would LOVE to buy & wear a lilac lippie (I just know I'll have to go to the Dentist and whiten my teeth first). Also, with any luck, I'll be able to polish off my lilac eye pot at long last! I'm also game to try a blown-out orange eyeshadow look. Being ginger, I don't really think orange lipstick suits me...

I have an orange lip tint that I wear occassionally and it is great with a summer tan.

I quite like the lilac shade, maybe in eyeliner form though, as eyeshadow may be a bit to much.
