Six budget beauty buys I truly love

FACT: My bathroom and bedroom are overflowing with beauty loot. It’s actually a little ridiculously really, but I don’t care. However, this doesn’t mean I don’t have my favourites that I go back to time and time again. No siree!
But the best part is this: some of my most cherished beauty prods are cheap as chips. Truly, they are! And while this is not only good for the old hip pocket, it means I’m always armed with a list of brilliant budget-friendly loot to recommend to people like you. And today, that’s exactly what I’m going to do…
BUDGET FAVE #1: Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, $13.95
I spoke of this gem in my very first post for bh, and I’m still rambling on about it. Sure, it might not clear up all your pesky pigmentation like the more expensive bb creams or specialised skin care products, but it sure does make my skin glow and fool everyone into thinking my skin is super-clear, naturally. And that’s good enough for me.
BUDGET FAVE #2: Neutrogena Deep Clean® Cream Cleanser, $13.99
Whenever my skin misbehaves, I always reach for this creamy wonder. In fact, if I was smart, I’d use it every single morning and night because its salicylic acid does a fantastic job of getting rid of nasty dirt oil and make-up, while improving my skin’s texture and zapping zits, too.
BUDGET FAVE #3: Blistex Intensive Repair lip balm, $5.95
I can’t go to bed without this little one. Without it, my lips feel tight and raw when I wake up, and turn flaky 12 hours later.
BUDGET FAVE #4: Aum Bio Nourishing Jojoba Oil, $19.95
While I’m a huge fan of rosehip oil, jojoba oil is equally as hydrating, as its chemical makeup is ridiculously similar to that of our skin. This means its welcomed by the skin once applied, allowing it to be deeply absorbed in the layers of your skin. This bottle is also rather huge, so it last a very long time…
BUDGET FAVE #5: Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo, $9.95
This feminine-smelling goddess has allowed the words ‘sleep’ and ‘in’ to make their way into my regular vocabulary. I’d kiss its feet for all its wonderful oil-absorbing and texturising abilities if I could.
BUDGET FAVE #6: you, me & everybody Shady Lady Daily Face Milk SPF 30+, $9.99
I’m a bit of a drill sergeant when it comes to applying sunscreen on a daily basis, and this one has all the goods: it’s lightweight, soaks into the skin easily, is perfect for under make-up, and has a high SPF.
Have you used any of these budget-friendly beauty products? Do you have any cheap as chips but totally brilliant product recommendations?

I love jojoba oil! This is a good reminder for me to buy some again as I tend to buy rosehip oil these days.

Sorbelene is a top budget beauty buy . For next to nothing you can buy a litre pump pack, and it's a great cleanser in the shower instead of soap, and it's a purse friendly body moisturiser too. Plain and simple.

I like the Garnier BB cream as well, but my all time favourite, cheap as chips, have used it everyday for many years now is Dove 2 in 1 foaming facial cleanser/toner. I also love that the Dove is a 2 in 1 product making it an even better deal over purchasing seperate cleanser and toner.

I just can't do dry shampoo. I've tried but I just don't like it, it would have to be a real emergency to resort to it!

Neutrogena's oil free daily scrub is my life saver! I also tend to buy it only when it's on special so I usually pay about $10 for it and it lasts about 6 months =)
