Get a born-with-it-blush

Try applying pressed powder blush with an oh-so-slightly damp brush. With a similar effect to cream (only minus the messy fingers and slide factor), this gives your apples a natural, translucent colour, as though the blush is radiating from within your skin. It's even prettier than the real thing.
What's your best trick for faking a natural flush?

Tried it. Alas, the brush must've been too wet.

I'm the blush disaster queen so this gives me a glimmer of hope.

Had never thought of that, though I'm always rosy, will give this a go sometime.

My cheeks have a natural rosy tone so I don't wear blush. I recently purchased Mineralize by Mac in Flush which gives your cheeks a very subtle pinch of shimmery pink colour which is gorgeous.

lol, stripe cheeks. i have to get proper blush brushes first, then i'll try in, but i look better in bronzer, light pink cheeks on a brown girl never did look pretty.

This works really well with MAC blushes too, I really love the MAC colour "Peaches" for a natural pinky/peach glow.

Awesome trick. I have never really worn blush but if this will make it look more natural then I might just give it a go.

This totally works. Tried it today. I get why it may not go so well with loose powder (that's why BH recommends pressed, I guess) but it worked with my favourite blush. It's a little lke a tint. Gorgeous!

My cheeks have always been rosy so blush isn't a concern for me personally.

pretty product princess, try using some brushes to apply your makeup to avoid the messy hands thing. I've recently bought a couple of ELF brushes (www.eyeslipsface.com.au) which are only $3.95 each, a total bargain - they aren't bad - I mostly have Chanel and Nars brushes which are awesome, but for the price ELF are definitely better than using fingers... ;)

I've already got a natural glow (it could possibly be stage 1 rosacea!)

wow what i great idea. i hate having messy fingers after applying coloured cosmetics because that means i have to wash my hands every 5 minutes (so annoying!). this idea would save a lot of time and chapped hands

Great idea, I usually use a brush, but this sounds worth a try.

I can't wear pressed blushes at all as I just end up with terrible pimples that are huge and sore, not heaps of them, but just 1 or 2 every couple of months - it must be something used in the pressing process that builds up in my skin...
So I use mineral blush or She Diva Dust (pink loose shimmer powder). I don't really do the blend, blend, blend part, but I have really good brushes and I just need to apply it lightly and after about 20 mins it has 'settled' into my foundation for just the right look. I often get asked what blush I'm wearing, so I must be doing it OK... ;)

i use with extreme catuion too as i get really flushed when i'm hot. speaking of blending, i know a girl who wears soooooooooooo much blush she actually has a ridge between the blush and the foundation, it's not a good look.

Loretta, I'd love to be able to wear peachy tones - they're very uplifting for a dull complexion. Gem, the amount of girls I see with nice make up only to ruin it with stripy cheeks...

ooh, that sounds like a good idea. It should help brighten up my deathly white skin

I don't use blush either as I have redish under tones and have enough 'colour' as it is...I agree with Glitter Girls last sentence with blush...you don't want to end up looking like a clown!

I love Benefit's Benetint - it gives a lovely soft rosy glow without being obvious. Benefit powders like Georgia, Dandelion & Thrrrob are also lovely on the cheeks, and give you a fresh, glowy look :) Georgia's my favourite, I love peachy colours on my skin.
