I very rarely reach for dry shampoo as my hair doesn't get greasy that easily.

I’ve never used a dry shampoo before because I’m afraid it’ll clump in my hair

I will try massaging it in, I usually spray, leave it to absorb then brush, sometimes it works, othertimes it looks odd

I've never used dry shampoo, I wash my hair every day so I haven't needed to use this product.

I absolutely love dry shampoo. I use it every day that I have not washed my hair. I recently went an entire week only washing my hair once, and used dry shampoo in between. No one could tell I hadnt washed my hair for a week! I tip my head upside down to massage it through my hair then use hairspray afterwards for volume.

A helpful article though I suspect dry shampoo wouldn't suit my highly senistive scalp

I always go back to Batiste brand. On a couple of occasions a couple of years ago when I ran out I used a powder, Curash I think. It seemed to be ok.

Hmm that is not the way I use it! Maybe I need to re-try it and see if it works better if I do it this way.

Some good tips. I haven't been a big fan of dry shampoo, but maybe I haven't been doing it right!

I love Klorane Dry Shampoo with nettle but the white powder just goes everywhere! I have to stand in the shower while I spray it on lol. I heard you can just spray it on your hairbrush and brush through the hair. I might try that. Oh yeah and don't use it for too many days in a row - build-up alert and you'll need a good clarifying shampoo to get rid of it!

Well, that brought back some memories.
I first used Batiste dry shampoo in 1975 when I had a life saving operation and couldn't wash my hair for two weeks while in hospital. I wasn't going to have dirty hair, so every few days I'd spray on the dry shampoo. Anyway, when I got home I remember my sister washing my hair over and over again to try to wash out the build up of the dry shampoo.
I couldn't face using dry shampoo for a while until I set off overseas to see the world. It was a godsend. And, now it's on my shopping list again because I've decided I don't really need to wash my hair every day. It's Batiste to the rescue again.

I have a few dry shampoos at home to try out. I don't use it on myself, mostly for my clients. To save time I just saturate the hair with dry shampoo, wait while I prep somebody's else's hair, and then brush off the excess if I need to. But I end up using quarter of a can of product!

I brought a brunette tinted one, it helps to cover the grey roots between colors which is handy, I usually only notice that my roots are bad when I have almost finished styling my hair and about to go out! By using some brown tinted dry shampoo it doesn't completely cover, but it does help to blend and make it look less noticeable. It can leave my hair a little dull so I find I spray it one, massage in a bit with my fingers/brush and then put a little hair gloss over it.

Ah this is good to see! I didn't know you were supposed to leave it for 2 minutes! this changes everything. But I'll never follow the rules, I'll use it for days at a time.
