Frizz Ease® Moisture Barrier Hairspray Reviews

I have curly hair that’s prone to being dry and frizzy with humidity being my worst enemy.
I was attracted to this product because of its claims to prevent frizz in humid conditions.
I’ve recently started to take more notice of product ingredients so when I looked at the label it listed the following:
ALCOHOL DENAT., HYDROFLUOROCARBON 152A, OCTYLACRYLAMIDE/ACRYLATES/BUTYLAMINOETHYL METHACRYLATE COPOLYMER, AMINOMETHYL PROPANOL, TRIETHYL CITRATE, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRACAPRYLATE/TETRACAPRATE, QUATERNIUM-52, PEG/PPG-20/15 DIMETHICONE, AMP-ISOSTEAROYL HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, FRAGRANCE

ALCOHOL DENAT is a very harsh drying alcohol,applying this to hair that is already dry and frizzy is just going to make matters worse.
DIMETHICONE Is a silicone that coats the hair artificially smoothing the hair shaft. The downside is that it doesn’t let moisture and nutrients into your hair and builds up on your hair. You need to use a sulfate shampoo to remove this build up, thus further drying your hair and causing it to be more frizzy.

So I was really disappointed to find that a product that I thought was going to help my frizzy hair had ingredients that would only make matters worse.

The frizz ease moisture barrier hairspray is alright but I have some issues with it. First I find when spraying it across my hair, it doesn't disperse the contents properly. The spray will focus on one part of my hair rather than the whole section which leads to certain parts getting most of the hairspray and other parts less. The second problem I had was that the spray made my hair sticky. I didn't spray much nor did I leave it on any particular section for too long but it left my hair feeling crispy and sticky which is never a good feeling. I still want to be able to touch my hair but I don't want it to leave residue on my hands. I had to brush through my strands to get the stickiness out. Third I also thought it didn't hold my hair that well. Because I had curled my hair and it was raining out, I used hairspray to keep it in place and to prevent frizz. An hour went by and my curls lost their shape and my hair started to frizz.
