Why you need to use cleansing oil on your hair

Hands up who breaks into a cold sweat when someone suggests using a cleansing oil to wash your face? I don’t blame you, the thought of putting oil on your skin seems like you’re opening up a can of worms. But those of you who have tried it know how awesome your skin feels after.
So what if I were to suggest using a cleansing oil on your hair? Yep, there is such a thing and as odd as it seems, it actually works.
The clever folks at Shu Uemura know all about the power of cleansing oils (the ones they’ve created for your skin are pretty legendary) and that oil actually removes oil, and have now developed ones especially for your hair.
The Shu Uemura Art of Hair Cleansing Oil shampoos are transparent formulas that contain high oil contents to give your hair and scalp an incredibly deep, yet gentle, clean. Hair is left soft, radiant, and basically looking like the epitome of health.
So is cleansing oil suitable for all hair types? Currently, you can get your hand on Shu Uemura Art of Hair Cleansing Oil Shampoo, which is suitable for all hair types and can be used daily. But come September, those of you who have particularly oily or dandruff-prone hair will have something to sing about.
The Clarifying Astringent Cleanser, the first oil shampoo with a high astringent, helps get rid of impurities on the hair and scalp while slowing down the production of oil. So those that have oily hair that sends them in a tailspin will be pleased to find their hair refreshed, rebalanced, and grease-free.
Then there’s the Anti-Dandruff Soothing Cleanser, an oil shampoo that works to intensely detoxify the scalp from dandruff. It contains shiso extract, a Japanese plant known for its detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties, so you can be sure your scalp will be soothed, rebalanced, and in time, dandruff-free.
Oh, and if you’re not already convinced that a cleansing oil is your next beauty purchase, then the fact that these ones are packed with nourishing ingredients and are silicone and paraben free should tip you over the edge.
Happy oiling everyone!
Have you ever used a cleansing oil on your hair? What’s your biggest hair concern?

I have never used a hair oil but perhaps I should as my hair does get dry on the ends.

This sounds great and I have used cleansing oils on my face which are great at removing makeup. I don't think I'll ever be able to justify $72 for a bottle of shampoo though-I can dream of being rich!
