I haven't used too many hair masks in the past that are at this level, yes they made my hair feel nice for a few hours however this product lasted longer and did make my hair feel a lot better than what it usually does. now in saying that I used the mask a lot more than what I usually would due to being pregnant my hair has been so much more needy and I feel like as being pregnant makes you want to look after yourself more even if its something as small as a simple hair mask. It was a thick consistency as well which was surprising and I do feel like I used a lot and would need to buy an extra tub to keep me going until the Shampoo and conditioner is finished, however that of course is all personal preference I just like to soak my hair in all that goodness to get the most out of it.

The StrengthPlex Bond Repair Mask's packaging is very sleek, simple and the colour palette is nice, the size of the tub is a generous size. The mask has a nice scent, it smells nice in the tub and also leaves your hair smelling nice afterwards. The formula is a nice thick consistency, which spreads easily through the hair. You don't need to use much product which means that the bottle will last quite a while- being a supermarket product, it is extremely affordable. With one use it hydrates and softens hair. It does not leave a residue on your hair and it did not cause my scalp to get oily, even after a few days. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, especially someone searching for a quality mask that thoroughly hydrates your hair, locks moisture into your ends and keeps it lasting that way for days. This is definitely a five star product, it is the best mask product that I have tried at home.

The Tony & Guy StrengthPlex Bond Repair Mask left my hair shiny and soft, after using it in conjunction with the matching shampoo and conditioner. I found I could replace the conditioner with the mask, as the mask was a thicker and richer texture, and had more of a hydrating impact on my dry ends.

The mask comes in a round tub with a screw on lid, which means I can scoop out as much of the mask as I need - and also means that as I get towards the end of the tub, I'll be able to easily access the last remaining bits of product!

After using the mask, I had fewer tangles in my hair and it was easier to comb out after washing.

I found the mask is actually suitable to use several times per week, and its thicker texture and more hydrating effect meant I liked it better than the conditioner in this range. The mask has a distinct fragrance of kakadu plum, but this softens after washing out to leave a nice gentle fragrance in my hair.

The packaging was not eye catching and I am afraid that it would not jump out at me whilst looking for a hair mask, but luckily enough given the opportunity to use it I found it a real treat. A simple pot with a screw top lid made it a little difficult to use in the shower unless I had multiple hands to hold the pot, undo the lid and scoop out what I needed all whilst making sure it didn't fill up with water from the shower head. Other than that my first experience with this hair mask was great. A beautiful thick and creamy texture. A little went a long way and after 3 weeks of using it twice a week I still have over half a pot left! I would use it right after using the matching shampoo and conditioner and leave it on my hair whilst I did other "showery" stuff. Rinsing it off was easy and did not leave any heavy residue behind that some other hair masks do. Overall this made my hair smooth and quite shiny.

My natural hair is quite curly and frizzy. In all honestly, I don’t really have a big amount of time to look after my hair as a working mum. It’s usually shoved up in a mum-bun! I enjoyed using this product. The texture is creamy and smells delightful! I used this once a week in my hair, and my hair looked healthier and fresh for more than three days!! I would repurchase this product once I have run out.

A little bit about myself for content... I have A LOT of fine long hair which has been regularly chemically lightened for the best part of the last 15 years. I maintain the silvery colour I love using Fanola No Yellow Shampoo which can be quite drying.

As you can imagine, the regular lightening and at-home intensive toning compromised the integrity of my hair which resulted in a lot of breakage. This improved significantly after my hairdresser introduced me to L'Oreal Smart Bond a few years back.

As much as I love Smart Bond, it is quite expensive so I was excited to try the Toni & Guy StrengthPlex range. The 285ml mask can be found at Woolies and similar retailers for $16 each.

The mask is packaged in a tub and it also has the signature T&G floral scent. The screw top lid can be a bit tough to remove when wet.

Typically, I don't use both a conditioner and a mask in a single wash (usually opting for one over the other depending on how I plan to style/wear my hair in the days following) but i did for the purposes of the trial. I also ceased using Smart Bond.

This mask is obviously thicker than the conditioner but not overly heavy. It seemed to replenish some of the moisture that my hair needed after using the shampoo. But my hair didn't feel as moisturised as it would have been after using a similar salon-line mask.
However, once it was dried, my hair did feel very soft.

Whilst the trial was for a brief period, it is hard to assess whether it improved the strength of my hair or to assess the efficacy of one of the three products in isolation for that matter. However, what I can say is that I didn't notice an increase in breakage from not using the L'Oreal Smart Bond during the same period.

When I received the package and opened the box, the products gave off a strong enjoyable fragrance.

I haven’t previously used a hair mask before and I absolutely loved this! I left the mask on for 5 mins as directed. I used the hair mask after the shampoo as a replacement for the shampoo. I felt my hair was a little more smoother than just the shampoo and conditioner.

My hair felt really soft and smooth and was manageable when styling.

I tested the shampoo with the StrengthPlex Bond Repair Conditioner and StrengthPlex Bond Repair Mask and found it a great combo.

As part of the Trial Team I was given the opportunity to trial the mask in the Toni&Guy StrengthPlex Bond Repair range.

The mask is designed to be used after the shampoo as an intense treatment to repair damaged areas deep inside the hair. The StrengthPlex Technology is infused with Kakadu Plum to reduce frizz, add smoothness, softness and shine.

It comes packaged in a squat 285 ml tub with a large screw-top lid, that makes it easy to use. The mask is white, with a lovely thick, silky consistency and has the same pleasant scent as the shampoo. It easily applies to damp hair, doesn’t drip while leaving it on to soak right in and work its magic, and rinses off very well.

I have just one word…Wow! This mask is fabulous!! My hair looks amazing, gorgeously smooth and soft, and the frizziness that I normally end up with is just completely gone!

The Toni and Guy StrengthPlex repair mask was the third step in my wash routine. Having a screw type lid was a lot easier to open than the shampoo and conditioner . Again like the shampoo and conditioner the aroma was quite nice and not overpowering at all. The texture is very thick and creamy which I liked very much and wished the conditioner was a little more like this consistency. After applying quite a bit of the mask to clean washed and conditioned hair I left it on for about 5 - 10 minutes with a shower cap over top to really let the product penetrate into the hair. After rinsing thoroughly I gently squeezed out the excess water and applied my normal curl cream and combed through. Again I did find my hair still had some tangles in it. After drying with a diffuser my hair did feel very soft and maybe a little to soft as all my curls dropped and had a lot more frizz than usual. I think if you have thick curly hair you may need something a little more hydrating.
