Hi everyone. I have very bad pigmentation on my cheeks and nose and I am in need of a good dermatologist. Any recommendations? I live in Sydney. Thanks.
I would also like to know.
As would I. Where abouts in Sydney are you Sina? If you do come across someone reasonable, please let us know. I've only had experience with Clear Skincare Clinic. I had KTP laser personally for my Rosascea and blood vessels but I believe they did laser resurfacing etc for pigmentation too. They were good, but I would probably recommend going to a more private practice, they just seem like they would tailor to your needs more personally with more experience.
I am in Hunters hill. I have tried everything. Nothing seems to work. It’s frustrating. I will let you know if I find someone good:)
I really hope you find someone good, wishing you the best of luck in your search. Please do let me know.
I had a small amount of pigmentation coming up on my left cheek, over a decade ago. My GP sent me to a compounding chemist to get some salicylic acid. I didn't even need to finish the jar because it solved my problem. It was fairly cheap. I can't remember if I needed a script.
A compounding chemist mixes the salicylic acid into plain sorbolene cream. Some medicines are applied topically (to the skin): every teaspoonful must contain the same amount of active ingredient. Compounding means mixing the cream so that it's consistent throughout. If you mixed it yourself, you might get almost pure sorbolene some days & too much active ingredient when you get to the bottom of the jar. Many local chemists do compounding. You could ask if they'll make you some without a script.
Unfortunately I have tried that already. Didn’t seem to work for me. Thanks for replying.
Oh well, it might come in useful for other members with mild pigmentation.
Unrelated: whenever I hear the word pigmentation, it makes me think of the Seinfeld episode with the pigmen. Just some of the wacky stuff that goes on in my internal monologue.
Interesting to know. Pigmentation is one of my main skin issues. I think it's mainly from taking the pill and it is always worse in summer.
Have you tried the varied and different Fade Creams and Serums there are many available I am covered in age spots and some pigmentation on the back of my legs.
At the moment I am using John Plunketts Fade Creams and Body Lotion it does work it just takes time, I am already seeing age spots starting to fade. Just remember to use Sunscreen outdoors 50+ SPF and stay out of the Sun as much as possible whatever treatment you get.
Good Luck hope you find what works for You!
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
