I am wanting to change the skincare i'm using at the moment - Borghese... I really love the look of the Chanel skincare range...has anyone tried it before? and what are the best products??
oh i can reply if there is only 1 post. how annoying. (re my new topic in talkback)
anyway, hi there,
i love chanel skin care and makeup. it depends on your skin type as to what to use. visit your counter and get them to sample you on the best products. i usually find chanel one of the best for samples - most others are really tight.
One of my friends used to use them - they're pretty luxe and nice - but highly fragranced - so not a good idea if you have sensitive skin.
I've used the Chanel Hydramax cream and serum which I find a very luxurious products. They do smell nice indeed (high fragranced as Elmo mentioned), which is not suitable for my sensitive skin type or for everyday use.
I think Chanel products are more on the luxurious skin care as opposed to serious skin care benefits.
I think there are better brands to look at for the same price range of Chanel. I can't see long term benefits from Chanel's skin care besides short term moisturise and providing the luxe food for skin.
Prettypearls - I think so too - like they're lovely to use, just not sure what they're actually doing for your skin? I would rather buy other Chanel products personally! Like a...ahem...bag! :)
Yes have to agree with you ladies.
I have used some of the Hydra range, and while it was nice I didnt notice any long term benefit. Not for the price I paid.
Personally, I think you are paying for the brand, not for the actual product.
I would rather a Chanel Bag any day ;)
Chanel skin care aside, I do like their make-up, though extremely pricey is worthy the luxury treat.
Also, I love Chanel bags.
Then again, Chanel products always heavily over-priced. I still love Chanel though.
I think Chanel's skin care specialising more in luxury skin care as opposed to anti-ageing and other skin care beneficial care.
Haha on my wavelength Yvette! :)
thanks everyone for your replies, you've saved me a lot of money i think!
now i still have a problem.. which skincare to use??
If you let us know your skintype, age and skin concerns we might be able to offer a few suggestions darl :)
Combination... Dry in some areas but then oliy t-zone... lately been getting small pimples over my forehead..and big pores on my nose.. then dry cheeks... very frustrating..
Hi Michelle, sounds like you like High end skincare products that deliver results, there is such a wide range available and I am not sure of your age so I am not sure weather you want anti-aging products or not but going on what you previously used and your skin concerns I could suggest you check out Esthederm which has a multitude of products addressing different skin concerns and I know they have pore refining products as well. MD Formulations is another good one and my favourite is Alpha-H they do Liquid Gold which is fabulous for the pores. Skinceuticals, Ultraceuticals ahhh the list just goes on and on I like them all, hehe. Ideally you shoud really visit a skincare prefessional and they would be better at recommending the best products for your skin type but in the meantime you are welcome to check out some of the brands I mentioned, be warned they can be very addictive, hehe :)
I speak from personal experience - I absolutely recommend looking into some Ultraceuticals and Skinceuticals - they're fantastic products with a wide range of skincare that actually does what it claims - Alpha-H is also great - I would be trying to find a salon in your area that stock them so you can have a beauty therapist sort out a skincare routine for you - you won't regret it! :)
Thank you thank you! i'm looking into all those products you've suggested - Liquid Gold sounds great i think i'll order it online. thanks for your advice and i will have to visit a salon that stocks Ultra and Skin but i do like researching online first! :)
I am the same darl, check out The Facial Company for the liquid gold, they are about the best priced around, they also stock Ultra and Skinceuticals as well :)
Just be careful with the Liquid Gold - it is quite strong and you have to start using it GRADUALLy - please get some specific advice - online stores such as adore beauty and the facial company have beauty therapists there to give advice over email or skype - you need to check if it's appropriate for your skin type first too or else your skin may react.
Chanel’s range of skin care products are great if you are into luxury products and ready to spend a lot on these products. Chanel’s skin serums are really good but really expensive as well and if you are enquiring about it, you may not mind spending on it. Their products are alcohol based and have a lot of fragrance, which is good but it may not suit you if your skin is really sensitive. However there is an option of picking skin sensitive products which would be better if required.
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
