hay ive been using Retin -A cream from my doctor for about 3 weeks now and am finding it really harsh on my skin, peeling sore and redness, i use it on my face and body,
anyone else use it and if so did you or do u have any problems with it?
ok thanks girls , i will bring it up with her at my nxt app. how is your skin going melmeko? the lines i had on my forehead are starting to smooth out :) i also got some strivectin off ebay for my stretch marks, so i will stop using the retin a cream when i get it, but i deffantly want to see a derm now just so i know what i should b using for my type of skin
Hi Allyfox, my skin is doing really well the combination of products that I am using are starting to show through on my skin, I have even had compliments about my skin looking nice so it must be working, LOL. Any signs of flaking or dryness have gone now it seemed to be just for a couple of days and now back to normal, so that is good, I will keep you posted when I ever get the retin-a to try out, I will use up all the retinol I have first :)
glad to hear its all going well so far, yea keep me posted :)
Will do darl :)
I believe you can only purchase Retin-A with a prescription, without a script you can only get retinol??
Wow I checked out the link, it looks like you still need a script to order but it looks like a massive saving you get three tubes for slightly less than I would pay for two, so I might save that for my next order I think, I have a few repeats left, mmm plus shipping I see still works out that I will save around $22. Hang on what currency is that site in because it is located in Cyprus, isn't that in Greece?? I better have a proper look I think will be back after I see what I can find out here :)
Back again it is in US dollars so atm it is about a $17dollar saving for me, but do they even accept Australian scripts in other countries???
melmeko - what's the shipping costs to Australia?
I think given the hassle, I rather just go to the doc and get a script and buy here if the savings aren't that great. I just need to find the time to get to one. Most of my acne have now healed, and I just have scarring and discolouration, would the GP still prescribe retin-A if you don't have active acne?
Depends on your doctor, you would be better off seeing a derm to make sure it would be suitable for your skin and also if you even need it, coz it can have numerous side effects too. The shipping is like $12.50USD and that saving of $17AUD is for 3 tubes so I guess if you look at it for one tube it is only going to be $5+ so I think your right would be a bit of a hassle plus the 3 week wait normally for international orders to arrive :( The pricing gets a bit better if you buy in bulk but why the hell I would want 6 or 12 tubes in the one go is beyond me, hehe :)
Lol unless we do a CP for all of us here and share it amongst ourselves... that could work. We just need to get a list of who else is interested in purchasing the product... I guess I'm in if you want to do bulk purchase.
Still need to find out about the whole script thing two and not sure if too many doctors will give out a script for that many creams in the one go, and also if we can submit multiple scripts, lol.
hay girls sorry i havnt posted in a while, i had to stop using it, it was very harsh on my skin and it wasnt working on my stretch marks either, im back on an ance gel from my doc and medication, suxs tho cause i still have half a tube and script to use, i get so tempted to use it on a few lines i got on my forehead lol, just my skin cannot handle much atm =(
hope you girls have had better luck? x
I am doing really well with mine, most likely because I have been using Retinol for so long now I did not experience any flaky skin at all when I changed to Retin-A and no sensation or anything, that is super fantastic because I can't feel it at all, just like applying any other cream, except I only just use the tiniest bit and really make it spread over my whole face, hopefully some more results to come with time :)
thats really good to hear mel =)
Just wondering how everyone is going with their Retin-A? I started a perscription of .01 gel last week. Haven't had any redness or peeling yet.
I have been on mine for nearly 5 months now, all seems really good at this end, I never experienced any side effects but I was on a high strength retinol product for months prior to the retin a :)
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
