i've a faint monobrow, that isn't particularly obvious with my dark skin. some of my friends suggested i get rid of it, but others say its too unnoticeable and would just return thicker.
Tweezing most hair will make it grow back thinner initially, although it eventually thickens back up the longer it grows. Leave it for long enough and it will go back to how it was to begin with.
Brow hair is an exception. Tweeze it regularly enough and it re-grows slowly and becomes finer and less pigmented (ie paler). In many cases doesn't come back at all.
I would get rid of it to be honest. If you take alice janes advice, and take it easier to will look better.
Plus you could always see a beauty therapiest and get it waxed in between-the hair will grow back lighter
Well put Alice Jane, I'd also suggest tweezing brow hair to get rid of a mono brow. Sometimes getting the beautician to wax it and tidy it up the first time helps so that you have an idea of where to tweeze later to keep it in order permanantly. You might be surprised at the difference tamed tidy brows make to your overall appearance.
we have alot of male clients in our salon who get a bit of a tidy up, and they all prefer waxin to tweezing cos its quicker, lasts longer and it has a cleaner feel.
We dont so much shape them unless they want that but just take the middle then take the messy ones from under and above and also some men like to get just under their eye on the outside corners.
It makes a big difference
Nair have wax strips that are a perfect fit right between the brows. You can even cut a bit off the side before you use them if you feel there too wide. They are super easy to use. Simply rub the strip in your hands for about a minute, peel the strip and apply firmly to your skin. Then rip in an upwards direction. I use them on a guy friend of mine once a month, he is now using them on his own without any problems.
Don't worry about what your friends think, if your ok with it then leave your eyebrows the way they are. Once you start placking or waxing you will always have to do it, otherwise your eyebrows will end up bushy.
I thought I would post on this to save making another topic. I dont really have a monobrow but I get really really thin bits of hair between brows and it appears like little black dots...they look like all little black heads if that makes sense. If I try to pluck it, there is hardly any hair there to pluck but there is still black dots there! Does anyone have any advice to combat whatever this is??
Maybe waxing this area?
maybe try waxing or a facial depilatory cream like this http://www.nair.com.au/products/nair-sensitive-precision-facial-hair-remover-cream/ ?
I think I may have to consider waxing or a cream because my makeup goes on horribly in that area!! and i get pimples there sometimes too!
Kaikoso- its really hard to tweeze its like theres no hair there just black dots, or maybe the hair is so fine i cant see it!
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
