My eczema is getting worse and worse and i am getting them on my neck, back, hands, arms. Is there anyway of helping it! It is very irritating and itchy!
perhaps you should see a dr and get some hydrocozole cream
MooGoo is an option Kay n Jay they have an excellent range of products and another one I have just recently started using and have heard that it works well for eczema is Skinfix, either of these would do the trick, with MooGoo being a fair bit cheaper I think :)
Hi Mel i've been using moogoo for the past couple of days but my eczema cannot stop itching, i think something is irritating my eczema but i really don't know what it is,
What MooGoo product are you using Kay n Jay?
I would send them an email and see if there is anything in the product that you are using that could be causing the irritation, I assumed that their products were specifically for eczema. mabey you are using the wrong product, they have great customer service and they should be able to suggest the correct product for your problem.
KaynJay - I would most definitely recommend seeing a naturopath - the problem with doctors is they treat the symptoms but not the cause - whereas a naturopath will find out what's causing your eczema. Has your diet changed at all lately?
thats a good point elmo.. something must be setting it off.. hope you find out kay n jay
Mel i have been using a sample of their eczema cream and Elmo, i don't really take note of what i really eat lol i'm not quite sure.
Might be worth seeing a naturopath like Elmo suggested Kay n Jay just to find out what is causing the problem darl.
I find naturopaths are best at dealing with allergies/skin irritations etc - stuff like that. Kay it's often more dairy that can cause issues...
My daughter has eczema on her face. I took her to the doctor and the doctor prescribed her QV cream. So i got QV cream in repair for dry skin. So far it has been helping the eczema on my daughters face. Have you tried QV products Kay n Jay ?
They are very good, I am surprised that a doctor suggested that over a prescription product, still at least it is readily available, I personally like QV just didn't think they would cut it for a special skin conditon as such. Let us know how your daugter gets on using it April :)
Hi April, i haven't used their QV cream but thanks for suggesting, my mother is going to take me to the doctors tomorrow so i'll see how it goes.
GReat Kay n Jay let us know what they come up with :)
Well so far the QV has been working for her eczema. The only thing is it is healing slowly and it was made worse by her brother scratching her face a week ago. Also because her face is itchy i constantly have to tell her to stop picking at it as she sometimes makes it worse.
Good luck with the doctors Kay n Jay
I went to the doctors today and he prescribed me an Ointment which i have to apply once a day.
whats the ointment called- ?
hope it works for you and makes you feel better kay n jay
It's called Advantan Ointment, apparently it can be strong if applied too much. They told me to stop applying when my eczema gets better.
Kay n Jay I had a look at the moo goo products and something doesn't seem quite right with them.. eating dairy is such a common cause of eczema.. it just doesn't seem logical that it could help putting it on already irritated skin??
I've just finished up using the Advatan Fatty Ointment on a chemical burn-type allergic reaction to i'm not sure what. That stuff is powerful, if it made a big difference by now the doc can give you hyrdocortisone tablets as well for a 5 days :) They mess with your sleep but you probably aren't getting much sleep anyway being so itchy, and the tablets are the only truly effective thing I've ever tried for extreme cases. Hope it gets better soon!
Sneaky MooGoo has had plenty of success stories with combating eczema darl.
Hi everyone, i've been using the prescribed ointment the doctor gave me it has been 3 days and my eczema is going away lol yay. I think i'll stop and try using the Moogoo now, since my eczema isn't as itchy anymore.
Sorry melmeko, I didn't write that very clearly.. Wasn't saying that Moo Goo couldn't work for anyone, just meant it sounds iffy for those of us with dairy intolerance / dairy-triggered eczema. Like people with nut allergies can't use almond oil but it can be excellent for others. Kay n Jay mentioned it wasn't helping that's all :)
No worries I thought you were saying Moo Goo itself sounds iffy, I have actually heard mostly good feedback about it thats all :)
I've used that same ointment on the dermatitis that sls gave me! It works great!
Me too, that's the one I use KnJ. Now that the flare up has settled, it might be worth trying the moogoo again to settle the skin back down completely. I find that when I have a really big flare up, nothing but cortisone cream works, but when it's not as bad, things like moogoo do help.
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
