Tips for your tootsies

Don’t want to show your dry feet in public? To shy to play footsies with your man in case he feels your flaking skin? Well then it’s about time you scrubbed your skin smooth and got your tootsies back in tip-top shape beauties!
Try these skin scrubbing tips for feet you’ll be proud of all year round:
1.) Soak your feet in some warm water before you start your scrub. This will help to soften the skin and make it easier to slough it away. Add some mineral salts to the water for a soothing touch.
2.) Spread your scrub over the top of your feet and massage in circular motions. If you work in the direction of your heart this can also help to alleviate water retention.
3.) Take a little more scrub and focus on the drier areas of your feet, such as your heels and ankles. You may want to repeat this step if your heels are particularly cracked or dry.
4.) Rinse your feet with warm water and pat dry thoroughly – walking around with wet feet is the quickest way to send them back to dry-ville!
5.) Smooth on a rich moisturiser and pop on some cotton socks for at least 30 minutes – it’ll feel slightly warm and sticky, but it’ll help the moisturiser to penetrate your skin and leave your feet feeling silky smooth.

I suffer from dry feet occasionally, more so in winter when I tend to neglect them! I tend to pay more attention to my feet when it's summer time and I want to show off my nail polish!

I'm embarrassed about my feet most days. This is handy, I usually do the scrub without soaking but I will now. Also with the last step, I put thick moisturiser on and leave socks on overnight! Pretty feet in the morning :) I use a Natio foot cream, which smells fresh and minty.

Great tips! I also generally use a foot file (gently though) as well before I scrub to get anything super rough off.
I've also heard that you shouldn't apply thick creams in between your toes - especially if you're putting socks on for a while - because it can create fungus!
