How-to: Nicole Scherzinger's volumised, glossy hair
I love a good celebrity beauty ambassador. If they’re a goodie, they have the power to make me fall head over heels for a product I’ve never noticed or used before.
But what I love even more are the photographic campaigns that are part and parcel of these partnerships. Anyone remember Leighton Meester’s Herbal Essences campaign? The shots were so stunning I was selling their Smooth Lovin’ None Of Your Frizziness serum to anyone who’d listen. The fact it smelt so utterly delicious was just a bonus. You simply must try it if you haven’t done so yet. (Whoops, there I go again…)
Anyway… Herbal Essences has a new Global Ambassador, and that gorgeous lady is musical superstar Nicole Scherzinger. Exciting, huh? I don’t think I’ve ever seen her with a single strand out of place, so this recent appointment by Team HE is a super-smart one, methinks.
I’m also coveting her beautifully glossy subtle waves in the campaign shots above, which is why I’m more than a wee bit ecstatic to have snagged the how-to for this ‘do from Herbal Essences International Hairstylist Charles Baker. Yep, he’s the genius behind her loveable locks, and here’s the step-by-step guide. Have fun!
STEP 1: Start with a moisturising shampoo and conditioner for smooth, silky hair. Nicole loves the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner, which is infused with Hawaiian coconut and orchid extracts.
STEP 2: After gently towel-drying the hair, apply a leave-in treatment such as Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Leave In Cream to the lengths.
STEP 3: Take 2-inch sections of hair and blow-dry them using a round medium bristle brush, blowing the air away from the roots to create volume.
STEP 4: Once dry, leave the hair to set in rollers while it’s still warm – this will ensure the hair won’t drop while it’s cooling.
STEP 5: Once the hair has cooled, remove the rollers from the hair and loosely brush the waves into position.
STEP 6: To finish, lightly spray hair with a flexible hold hairspray. Something like Herbal Essences Set Me Up Hairspray Supersize will allow natural movement while still holding the hair in place.
Are you excited Nicole Scherzinger is the new Herbal Essences Global Ambassador? And are you keen to copy her stunning strands?
