Daily Face SPF 50+ Reviews

Okay so I have combination skin, and I am a little fair in tone, so here's my review.

Bad:
> The product feels heavy and very oily on my skin.
> It's like my skin is suffocating. I don't know if it's just me, but on application, it somewhat burns a little.
> It causes a few pimples, and my skin is red for a while.
> Half way during the day, my t-zone area is SO shiny and oily, which isn't like how it normally is.

Good:
> It gives me a healthy glow and blends with my skin colour.
> Nice packaging. Kinda attractive.

I was looking for a high protection sunscreen I could wear everyday, either alone or under makeup. The packaging says this is a matte formula with an oil-free base ideal for combination and oily skin, so I thought it would be perfect for my oily skin. It really wasn't. This sunscreen was like an oil slick on my face. I had to apply makeup to try and keep the grease factor down, especially when wearing glasses so they didn't slide off. Perhaps this would be better suited to someone with dry skin.

The flip-top tube would be convenient to keep in your bag, the scent is similar to most sunscreens but not noticeable after applied, but if you are looking for something tinted I can't say I noticed much there.

I like the packaging of this moisturiser because it's a tube which is hygienic and you are able to squeeze out the amount that you want to use without wasting any product. The moisturiser is a light brown colour and I was unsure how it would look and blend on to my skin but it doesn't show up as a tint once applied on the face and it just blends in with my skin tone. My skin is more on the dry side so I find this to blend in easily and soaks up well into my skin. I think this product will be too greasy for people who have oily skin. I love how it has SPF 50+ which is perfect for everyday wear and a great base for my foundation. This is now my new daily moisturiser.

i love this product because it doesnt irritate my skin but really doesnt work for oily skin like it claims. the tint finish tents to really darken through out the day for me and i dont like that

With a light tint which gives you a hint of coverage, this is my HG summer moisturizer as it is packed with SPF and moisture! For my combination-dry skin, i need a product which doesn't make it flake but also doesn't cause an oil-spill by midday. This product does the trick and doesn't irritate my skin. I have been using it for years and one bottle really lasts. For the price I would definitely purchase this again!

I was truly surprised with this SunSense Daily Face. I've tried other 50+ sunscreen facial products but they all leave me feeling like my face feels suffocated and greasy. Not this little gem, my face actually felt moisturised and it was quite light in comparison but still heavier than most facial moisturisers so it was a little bit more on the greasy side but very good for a product with 50+ sunscreen. The tint is quite light, just enough to blend some imperfections but is not a heavy coverage to block all of them out. Another thing that was missing is that sunscreen smell which is so common in these type of products, no scent at all, and was better for my nose. yay, this is a winner

First I must say I love the SPF and the high protection it gives but I found that right after application it makes my skin look and feel oily. It has however been pretty good in sun-protection and has appeared to have done its job. The tint finish is good but it is no way would I describe it as a matte finish but I'm still pretty happy with the tint appearance it left on my skin. It does have a strong 'chemical' smell but that is probably due to the SPF ingredients in it and 50+ at that.
All in all it's a pretty good SPF moisturiser my only complaint is the little bit of oiliness.

I'm always very conscious of what I put on my face, and I will not go a day without applying a SPF moisturiser to my face as I believe sun protection is so important. I am also extra diligent with my skin because I have a lot of freckles from my childhood which I believed were a result of sun damage but I recently found out they aren't so much. I had a UV photo done of my face by SunSense in January this year and found out much to my delight that my skin was up among the best for my age group. I was actually looking for a new moisturiser for my face at the time and they recommended and let me sample this one, so I then went out and purchased a large one shortly after as I was impressed by my sample of it. It was rather costly but it is a cost I am willing to pay to protect my skin, because after all we only get one skin! The bottle is also large (200mL) which when I think about it properly is 4 times the size of a standard moisturiser (usually 50mL) and at $25 is less than 4 times the price, so it's actually not that expensive it just seems a large outlay. However as this moisturiser is so huge it lasts forever so I have since forgotten about the initial overlay, and have not had to repurchase day time face moisturiser which has been light on my pocket.

I love the packaging as it has a pump! I think pumps are just so much more hygienic because you aren't touching the product which is going go back inside the packaging. I also find this one is easy to use and it prevents wastage and mess as it's a very fine hole the product comes out of. The actual product is a creamy light brown colour and is thin in consistency with no fragrance but it does smell slightly sunscreeny. It applies onto the skin very easily and smoothly. Even though the moisturiser is only quite thin it is hydrating, though for me it is not quite hydrating enough for use in summer on my normal to dry skin. Unfortunately, I do find the moisturiser leaves me with a slight sheen that is generally absorbed over time but remains in some areas – despite the product supposedly being matte finish. Due to this I prefer not to wear this product on its own if I am going out to work, dinner, etc , though the very light coverage it gives with its tint is perfect for outdoors activities, going to the supermarket, etc. I do however find though that it makes an excellent base for makeup or even just tinted moisturiser for slightly more coverage, and if the sheen remains a slight dusting of powder always resolves it.

Overall, this moisturiser is perfect for everyday protection which is so important, and so the cost is justified by just how important this is. Protect your skin!
