Avoid day after disaster

The summer holiday season usually means a lot of nights out – some small and low-key, others a bit bigger and…not so low-key. And while you’d normally think, “the bigger the night, the bigger the disaster the next day”, we’ve come up with a few ways for you to avoid that day-after disaster.
DISASTER AVOIDANCE TACTIC #1: STAY FRESH
Some nights turn out to be bigger than planned, which means you may not be smelling so fresh after the unexpected all-nighter. Unless you get smell-savvy and use a deodorant that’s built to protect you for ages, that is. Apply Dove Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant before a night out and you’re guaranteed up to 48 hours protection from wetness and odour. You may be feeling a little worse for wear the day after, but at least you won’t be smelling it…
DISASTER AVOIDANCE TACTIC #2: BANISH STAINS
How many times have you been at a party and spilled wine/chocolate/canapés on your outfit? And because you’re at a party, there’s not much you can do to effectively clean it and save it from being ruined forever. Worse yet, is if you have to rock the same outfit the next day like nothing happened the night before – not so easy with those telltale party stains, right? Well, there’s a solution: save your clothes by keeping a stain-removing pen, like Hollywood Fashion Secrets Stain Remover Pen, in your handbag to deal with those stains as soon as possible (it’s the first rule of stain removal). Not only will it ensure your outfit looks awesome for the rest of the night, but it’ll also help you to seem a lot fresher if you have to wear it again the next day!
DISASTER AVOIDANCE TACTIC #3: SAVE YOUR FEET
Wearing heels for hours on end can be painful on the night, and possibly even worse the next day. Instead of waking up with bruised and damaged feet (or worse – having to spend half the night with your shoes in your hand), keep some foot inserts in your bag so that you can just pop them into your shoes as soon as you start to feel pain. All Day Heels Insolia Inserts will help shift your weight off the ball of your foot and redistribute it back onto your heel, eliminating that uncomfortable burning feeling almost instantaneously. Tip: if you’re almost positive your shoes will cause you pain at some point while you’re out, put the inserts in at the very beginning of the night.
DISASTER AVOIDANCE TACTIC #4: KEEP YOUR EYES PANDA-FREE
Let’s be honest - the later your night, the less chance there is you’ll remove your make-up when you get home. And while it might seem like a great idea to hop straight into bed, you’ll definitely regret it the next morning when your eye make-up is halfway down your face (and on your pillow case) and you’ve had a few pimples pop up in the process. Save yourself the frustration the next day by giving your skin a quick wipe with Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes as soon as you get home. These fragrance and alcohol free wipes will not only ensure that there isn’t an inch of make-up left on your sleepy face, but they’ll cleanse and tone your skin too – all in a matter of seconds.
DISASTER AVOIDANCE TACTIC #5: FRESHEN YOUR LOCKS
In an ideal world, the day after a big night out can be spent mooching around doing nothing much at all. You’d also have all the time you needed to hop in the shower and give your hair and body a real good clean. But sometimes you’ll be forced to get ready in a flash, which is exactly why you should have a dry shampoo on hand to freshen up your hair and have you ready to head out in no time at all. De Lorenzo Essential Treatments Absorb Dry Shampoo will help soak up any excess oil, add volume and fullness to limp locks, and will leave your hair smelling fresh as a daisy. In fact, your hair will look so great that no one ever suspect that you’re feeling anything less than fabulous.

Thankfully I don't have any, yet those cleansing wipes are gold. You've also reminded me to go out and buy some dry shampoo. Thanks

Great tips. Unfortunately, I have personally experienced a stain disaster and have smelt less than fresh on big nights out. I have learnt from my mistakes though.

great tips especially re the sole inserts. I had new heels on last Friday, and despite being prepares with sole inserts, I still had a blister so am now looking for some serious inserts that will cushion me from these towering beautiful but painful heels.

Experience has led me to drink a glass of water for every glass of alcohol. Being aware keeps the disasters at bay (mostly!).

My biggest problem would have to be my hair and thankfully a bit of dry shampoo fixes that for me.
